Federer To Regain No.1 Position

Sooner than realised Federer has a chance to become Number 1 again after Wimbledon.

If Federer wins his 15th Grand Slam at SW19 and Nadal fails to reach the Semi-Finals Federer will once again reach the summit.

It would be quite a turnaround given little over a month ago many were talking about Federer being on the slide.

Do you think Roger will be Number 1 again after Wimbledon?

Yes, i think he will. He said that he could play more relaxed now, that he has got 14 and Roland Garros. I think he will win, but its up to nadal to help federer out.

Who knows, maybe nadal could draw somebody like Haas in the third round, or what if he sees Soderling again :lol:

I´m not sure but if Nadal plays the final agaisnt Murray, and Andy wins, Federer can go down to the number 3, so everything is possible

I think Federer's regaining his number one spot is set in stone really. Nadal lost so many points at the French. Players are now getting more points with the change with the ATP tournaments. Lastly, Rafa must win Wimbledon 2009 to keep it close.

That is a lot of pressure on Nadal. The table has now turned!

I just think it is great that Federer is once again holding a couple of Majors and is back in with a chance of Number 1.

I'll admit after Wimbledon last year I wasn't to worried about Federer but after Australia I really thought he had took a mental battering.

Roger had always been at his best when his tennis was free-flowing and natural, I hope we will see it again now he has nothing more to prove to himself.

I do think Nadal will be fighting fit for Wimbledon though and will be eager to give the favourite tag to Roger, sonthing he has never had a problem with before anyway.

I dont think murray is going to handle the pressure that is going to be put on him after his win. Im not sure he will back up his QF appearance last year.

Djokovic on the other hand, can gain some ground on the number 3 spot as he only made it to the Rd. of 64.

Yes i would say so, after losing roland garros, he will have more pressure than Fed to back up his title. But nadal does do pretty well under pressure.

I think all the top guys are at risk depending on the draw. I think there a quite a few fringe players who could take a big scalp, Roland Garros really demostrated that.

That is what makes Federer 20 straight GS semi finals even more remarkable.

Haas, Roddick, Tsonga, Soderling and a few others are all dangerous and it makes Wimbledon even more exciting.

I think Federer will be mentally tired at the moment.

I see Nadal defending his title against Murray or Djokovic in final.

I think Nadal will make it to the final, in which case he will hold on to number 1 through Wimbledon.
