The character speeds are actually too high due to 1.0f changes. Mostly auto-step back wich is pretty heavy helping with left/right direction changes and thus working against the wrongfooting concept induced previously by inertia, wich is now partially negged.. Thus the very (tooo much) long and boring rallyes between two good players (movers), even on indoors : this would be pretty useless and unplayable on slow surfaces like AO and clay actually.
We'll work on this and fix it as much as possible, in the next 1.11, during the off-season, modifying max speeds (though this won't bring anything more about wrongfooting..) , and probably speeding up back a bit the hard courts if needed.

Sure great idea but in my opinion the concept of vulnerability depending on the height of the ball must be enhanced otherwise any counter skill would only help for defensive shots (countering a very deep return for example) and never for wrong-footing (if done at the right moment).
Other thing quite ridiculous, especially on indoor courts : Nadal defending and returning from the furthest point of the court, and still digging up a nice defensive spinny shot reaching easily 1m before the baseline => with such facilities to produce those shots wherever on the court, only running well is required to beat anyone...

Another thing djarvik once suggested is a gameplay change: The longer you charge the top spin shot, the more spin you will create.

- where we had 90s grass tennis during Roland Garros
- Maybe the bounce of our indoor courts is too high as well.
- After all, even the best backhands struggle with Nadal's top spin, but on the FH it should be easier to hit winners off top spin shots.
