You made some excellent samples in each category especially in your Indian Wells pack. Indeed some could be replaced or improved though i've not made a listAfter some short testing, i remember some of them were pretty short and/or not getting well along with the other samples (only two strikes i think, some low one, maybe one medium i'll re-check later on).
I'm pretty busy with other things at this time. But i'm definitely looking to use some of your IW samples to add them in the mix, i think several ones should fit pretty well. This will end to be some mixed surface sound set but that doesn't matters much imo as long as it sounds good.
Another thing i'm doing when building a soundpack is also creating a different volume enveloppe for each categories. Meaning for example, when i used Lucian sounds, i used an amplification filter (like +2b) for strong strikes, +1db for medium ones, 0 for low. Of course it depends on the original samples loudness level. That renders a better impact feeling in the game, cause it's always a bit weird to hear some soft top spin shot as loud as an accel, it's not always needed to do this tweaking though, really depends on the original recording.
I'll include your Ullrich sounds as well. I just changed the "Let, Second serve" => "Second serve", cause it felt a bit weird to hear "let" after a first serve out without even touching the net
El Croato wrote:As for the "Let, second serve sample, I left the "Let" because the chair umpire only announces second serves when the ball touches the net or after players ask to challenge his call, doesn't he? If a player misses his first serve, the chair umpire won't say "Second serve" afterwards, unless I'm mistaken.
El Croato wrote:By the way, if someone could tell me where I could find HD tennis matches highlights, I would be very grateful to them. I usually work on Youtube videos, but I have noticed that more often than not, the strikes are hardly to be heard, even with 1080p videos, which forces me to amplify appreciably the samples. The problem is that it can quickly lead to saturation, thus deteriorating the sound quality.

El croato, you need a medal for this work!!!
How much time you spent for this sound package.
This is pure passion!!
Didn't try yet to install the sound mod.
Just one little question in advance:
El Croato, the sound.ini file in your all in sound package you deposited on the filedropper site, it's already modified like the one from Elias, that allows you to retain all the 1.13 ITST grunts? So I have just to overwrite the original sound.ini with yours without losing the 1.13 grunts? Or have I to overwirte with Elias modified sound.ini?
Many Thx Elias for this extra work in favour of the community, instead that everyone would be forced to edit it manually.
Or is it everyone has to be forced to edit? My english....![]()
nice weekend guys
ciao
