Atp Chengdu, Lorenzo Musetti approda in semifinale: le parole dopo la ...

Q: Mohd, Congratulations on making another Grand Slam Final. After playing a match of that magnitude, please walk us through your overall thoughts on the match.

A: hi willito , thx for having me , its hurts me to talk about this match 💔 but overall i played well from the first match until the final , this match was weird, in the 1st set i was serving for the set and i miss an ez inside out fh while cine was running to the other side, which is crucial moment and then cine won it bcz he is better mentally than me and he is solid without doubt, also in the 5th set when i had a championship point i missed an ez fh which is rare to miss those kind of shots, all in all i think i played well but i got my chance to win it but credit to cine who was playing smart and solid

Q: You had a match point at 5-4 in the fifth set. What were you thinking at that moment, seeing that the match continued? Did you think you'd lost or did you still have hope to win?

A: i was thinking about it in that game only , but in the stb , he was playing at his best while the first point in the tb i missed dtl fh which i believe gave him a boost , and we saw what happened after that point , i couldn't win a point unfortunately.

Q: You've had a great year. You've played 3 Grand Slam finals against Cine, and won the Silver Medal at the Olympics, solidifying your position as the #2 player on tour right now. Which of these matches was your favorite, if any? Which ones would you prefer to forget?

A: i cant pick one of them as a favorite because i lost all of them 😅, but this final i will never forget it and because  of this heartbreaking loss i will work so hard to be a better player (mentally) for the rest of the season.

Q: If you had a chance to get one of the finals back, either Australia in which you won the first 2 sets, or US Open in which you had a match point. Which one would you prefer?

A: i prefer this final for sure , like rematch or i replay that championship point with a different way , in ao open i was leading 2 sets to love but i didn't had any championship point chances , which is less hurts than this final.

Q: Who of your rivals do you prefer to play against? Who do you prefer not to play against?

A: in both questions my answer will be (cine) , when i play cinematic i enjoy and not enjoy in the same time , the way he play makes u play ur best and we had many great points , but in the same time i hate playing him bcz he always flip the table , especially when i have my chances 😂.

Q: What are your plans for the rest of the season?

A: my only plans now is to improve my mental and play better and better to get my chances to win big tournaments.

Q: What motivates you to keep playing?

A: a lot of things , such as : passion and love for this sport + sacrifice

Thank you for answering all our questions Mohd, and we wish you the best of luck for the rest of the season!
