PLAYER SPOTLIGHT - DANIEEL
Written by Cinemartic
17 Sep'23 - 00:50

There have been only a few players making the history of ITST FAT tour at the very top of the game since its beginning in 2021: rharm100, Richie1308, Cinemartic, names such as these. In 2022, Jayfin95 made a remarked entry amongst Grand Slams holders and could be perceived as one of the best newcomers on tour. In 2023, it appears indubitable danieel holds this spot, and with what sturdiness ! After his first title in the 2022 Chengdu Open and a level incessantly raising, danieel left his mark for the first time reaching the Australian Open 2023 final in a controversial match, barely losing his very close fight against Tennis Elbow GOAT Richie. Now danieel has become a pillar of the tour, winning no less than 6 titles in 2023 and making 7 other finals. The spanish bull just won his first Grand Slam in USO as I’m writing these words and it seemed appropriate to honour his ongoing and great career with this spotlight. Now is time to learn a little bit more about him.

GAMING

Story behind your Gamertag: I mean there's not too much to explain, I've never had any gamertag or anything like it.

Describe your gaming set-up (Desktop PC, Console, etc.): Just upgraded my pc a few months ago, 4090 + i9-13900K + 64GB of ram, got a PS5 about two months as well, just to stay in the loop about PS exclusive videogames like UFC5 or Spiderman 2.

How many hours do you usually spend playing video games in average and what game you are currently enjoying most:  I've been playing more than the usual because of the summer, but when I start school again I'll play like 3-4 hours a day, it depends a lot tho. I'm actually enjoying UFC4 a lot just because of that 2020 nostalgia and because I'm hyped with UFC5.

Favorite video games of all times:

RDR2

GTA:IV

AC II

AC Brotherhood

Does your wife/girlfriend/significant other support your gaming habit: I mean they don't like it at all but they respect it.

OTHER VARIOUS STUFF

Favorite sport: MMA

Favorite artist/band: Hehe that's an easy one, Quevedo all the way down.

Favorite Movie: The Irishman

If It's your last meal, what would you choose to eat: Probably a TORTILLA ESPAÑOLA.

If you could meet 3 persons from either past or present, who would they be and what would you talk/ask about: Cristiano Ronaldo, Ivar the Boneless and Temujin AKA Gengis Khan. I'd just love to talk with them forn an hour or so about their lifes and asking Cris what does he feel about being the GOAT of football.

Favorite chilled beverage: LEMON FREEWAY

Other hobbies except video games: I used to play football and Indoor football a lot, nowadays I just do football.

PROFESSIONAL TENNIS

Favorite ATP player (current): Carlos Alcaraz

Favorite ATP player (all-time): STANISLAS WAWRINKA.

Favorite WTA player (current): Paula Badosa

Favorite WTA player (all-time): Paula Badosa

Nadal or Djokovic: Djokovic, the true GOAT of this sport.

Favorite tournament and surface: Roland Garros, clay.

LIFE ON THE VIRTUAL TOUR

Lefty or Righty: Righty

Favorite surface/court: Actually I think hard is the best right now, grass is clean as hell as well.

If you could win any tournament of your choice you have not won yet, which one would it be and name the most important tournament for you: Roland Garros no doubt. Most important tournament for me is obviously USO.

Describe your style of play: I can actually adapt to both deffensive and aggresive playstile, but I honestly feel more comfortable attacking my opponent and trying to find a winner no matter what, I also use my strong serve to end points as fast as possible.

Who would you consider to be your greatest rival on the tour and player you enjoy to play the most: Greatest rival will probably be Cine, I think I lost like 7 tournament finals against him, and the player I enjoy the most to play is Ferri, he's a good friend and I like to see him growing as a player.

Most memorable victory: VS Jayfin for the US Open title, I've already taken some pressure off myself on that one winning my first GS.

Most disappointing loss: VS Cine at Toronto final maybe, I was 6-7 7-6 6-5 30-0 up and i throwed that one, could have been my second masters title.
