To be able to participate in the ITST you will have to take the following rules into account:
.) Before you can play in one of our tournaments, you must register yourself as a member of the ITST first. You can only register one account and that is the only account you can play with on the ITST, unless Management directs otherwise. When a tournament opens for registration, you need to sign up for it seperately. You are not automatically entered into a tournament.
.) You must play with your own character. You aren't allowed to play matches for the ITST with Hewitt, Federer or any other pro.
.) The draw for a tournament is normally made on Sunday evening, or maybe earlier when the tournament has been filled completely. When you know who to play against please send your opponent a private message or an e-mail to arrange a time and date for your match to be played. Note that if you mail your opponent you need to send a copy of that mail to the tournament host, so he knows you've been in touch. When you send a private message this is not necessary (and not even possible) since the tournament host has access to the private messages sent. The last way to contact your opponent is by posting a message on the tournament forum. However please don't just post here unless you're 100% sure the player you're playing is an active member who's on the forums a lot. If your opponent doesn't respond to the messages you sent, send another one. If he still doesn't respond, please notify the tournament host of the situation. The ITST Hosts cannot check messages sent through Xbox Live so we urge you if you contact him through the Xbox Live private message system you also sent him a private message through the ITST site.
.) You're obliged to play on the court that has been dedicated to the tournament. For example, the Australian Open has to be played on the "Oceania Championships" court. When a tournament like Rotterdam is being played, and the court is not available in the game, the tournament director will still set a certain court to be played at. Please play your matches on this specific court. If your opponent only wants to play on another court, notify the tournament director, he will disqualify your opponent. It doesn't matter which player hosts the game. You can decide this with your opponent. When you know you and your opponent will have a laggy connection on the court that has been stated you may play on another court if your opponent agrees to it.
.) If you're playing a match and you have a lot of lag problems, please do not quit the match but play until the end and notify the tournament director of your problems after the game.
.) Every tournament round has a deadline. This means that on the day of the deadline, it is the last day to get your match played in that specific round. If you do not play by the deadline you will most likely be put out of the tournament, unless you didn't get a response from your opponent. Then you'll most likely be handed a walkover by the tournament host. Deadlines are deadlines, be sure you stick to them. If your opponent has not showed up on the time you had agreed to please inform the host about this.
.) The winner has to report the match score to the tournament director. This is done by going to the tournament page and clicking on the link to report results there. Please don't send in fake results as we might decide to ban you from the Tour if we find out about it.
.) The Minor-Pro and Pro tournaments will be played by the best of 3 sets principle (please note, sets last 6 games, not 3 like in the official matches!) The Major Pro tournaments will have the same set-up as the Minor-Pro and Pro tournaments, except the final. It will be played by the best of 5 sets principle. The Grand Slams will be best of 5 throughout the tournament.
.) When 2 tournaments of the same Tour start on the same date, you can only register for one of them! When another tournament starts for example a week after tournament 1, you are allowed to play in both tournaments. You can sign up for 1 tournament of each Tour, so this means that it is possible to play in 3 tournaments starting on the same date, when they are all separate Tours (Regular, SIM, Female).
.) Please do not register for a tournament if you aren't available for play during a specific round. If you do not play your match, you will get no points whatsoever from that tournament. It doesn’t matter what round you were in?
.) With immediate effect the Advanced Shots (LT +Y, X, A and B) where the Momentum Bar is empty are banned from the ITST Xbox 360 Tour. Please note this rule only relates to the Advanced Shots (LT +Y, X, A and B) when the Momentum Bar is empty......if the Momentum Bar is filled and the Y, X, A or B is highlighted on screen then the relevant Advanced Shot can be played.
.) All matches must be played through Xbox Live.
.) If you encounter someone who breaks one of the rules stated above please do not quit the match immediately. An empty trigger advanced shot for example can be played by your opponent by accident. If your opponent keeps breaking the rule please quit the match and contact your opponent about it directly. Try to start the match again from the point where your opponent did a wrong shot. If your opponent does not quit with breaking the rules you can quit the match and contact the host about it. He will give you a walkover then.
.) ITST Host are volunteers and are very important for the daily progress of the site. They should be threatened with the respect they deserve. Any insults towards a ITST Host will have consequences for your membership on ITST.
.) If you are a premium member and you get banned from the site because you violated one of the rules above ITST is not obligated to pay back your premiums member fee.
