Top Spin 4?

No official word on a sequel, but Ronnie (a 2K rep) created a "Top Spin 4 Ideas and Suggestions" thread at the 2K forum. Again, might not mean much, but it's promising at least.

Anyway, if you have any suggestions/ideas for TS4, you might want to stop by the 2K forum and post 'em.

WHy is that?? The glitch was cool in TS3 cause we have a set up rule otherwise, i kind ok like to spend some time to create your character + you only have a few.
Nowadays, i have tons of players, i never know which one i should use

I hope Ronnie can talk some sense into 2K and Pam and get them to really see what they could do in the next game if they really tried.

Maybe it would be good if we had a lot of people all agree on a few things, and post it on their forum. Here's the 10 things that I think most people agree are most important:

Starting with TS3 as a base:
1. Four console doubles, and ranked doubles.
2. Make serving more difficult - if done right, second serves would automatically get weaker.
3. Make the players move slightly better.
4. More realistic created-player setups - either by not being possible to create them with multiple maxed attributes (such as always having a weaker forehand or backhand), or by making weaknesses get punished.
5. Make the risk shots, especially risk returns, more difficult - and/or the possibility to turn risk shots off.
6. Hitting down-the-line should have a lower margin for error than crosscourt - safe shots down-the-line should lack accuracy.
7. The ability to view matches online - both live matches and saved matches.
8. Once you play through the career once, you should be able to create characters without playing through the career again.

I would be fine with that list where it is. I agree that those things are all necessary, and I would say incorporating all those would make the game very good in my eyes.

I agree with that, and I'd like to add
- Improve the online aspect. Make invites possible (for ps3, don't know if it is already on the xbox?), and solve the connection issues. I doubt if they can do anything about the lag, but it would be nice.

Things like better roster, better career mode and such would be nice, but I think to keep the list short we should leave those out because they are more a "nice thing to have". I think most people here are more into the online mode and don't play offline very much, so those things aren't pivotal to improving our enjoyment of the game.

Maybe you could add the possibility to pass through a career automatically after completing it once to make character creation less of a pain, but if the career isn't horribly long again I think that's just a "nice to have".

- Top Spin 3 TV, (ala VT3) to be able to watch matches in progress or recently played.
- Ranked doubles!
- Make stamina count more.
- Make releasing button early into an error.
- Make serving with sick only with smaller "window" to get more error on serve and make people take pace off the second serve.

That's exactly why I left it off. Also, things like clothing, racquets, etc. A lot of those things you don't even notice once you actually get into a match.

I like that. I think they want people to play the career mode, and wouldn't let us make characters without it - hence the patch of the 'create a player in 5 minutes'. Maybe they would go for the 'play the career once, then you can just create players'. I added that to the list.
