Djokovic and Djokovic...

Postby Vieira151 » Tue, 23 Sep 2008 17:35

Hey guys, how do you lot think that Novak and Marko (Novak's younger brother) will do in the doubles in Bangkok???

I 've read the thread about Djokovic dislikers  and i'm not a
particular fan either, but i just though it would be interesting to know what your views were.

Also Marko is in Novak's half of the draw in singles, and has to face Neiminen (if thats how you spell his name  ) and i was wondereing if any of you thought he had a chance .

I do believe Djokovic. N/Djokovic. M have Santoro/Tsongo in the first round of the doubles, so it could be quite tough 8)

Imagine in the future, a doubles match with:
Djokovic. N/Djokovic. M vs Bryan. M/Bryan. B :D :D

Maybe in the future they will be okay, but right now Marko will be outclassed and Novak probably isn't good enough at doubles at this level to pick up his slack.

I do not like either of them. I cant believe the younger one is trying to get onto the tour now. These Serbians need to stop!

That's actually not too bad for his scores in singles and doubles. Remember that Marko is ranked around 1700 in the world and is still only a futures player matching up against some of the top, most experienced players in the world (Nieminen, Tsonga, and Santoro!). Hey, I would gladly take a 6-2 6-0 loss against Nieminen.

Yeah, as much as the Djokovic family annoys me (arrogant Euro Trash!!), Marko's scorelines aren't too bad considering it was his first major ATP event. Anything better than a double-bagel is completely acceptable...he's just trying to see if he can even hang in there with the big boys, winning's probably not on his mind yet.

I do not like Novak Djokovic. I do not know about his other sibling(s). Yet, any lost is good for Novak (singles, doubles, whatever). He talks as if he is the best of best. Yet, he loses more often than the best of all-times (Sampras, Federer, and Nadal).

I really hate the Djokovic family:

(the following is taken from Tennis.com's news ticker)
'Novak Djokovic's father Srdjan tells Serbian paper Sportski that Serbia's tough Davis Cup draw against Spain next year is "no coincidence."

"First Russia [this year], now Spain. Nobody wants to see us win Davis Cup," said Srdjan Djokovic. "The chances of us beating Spain on clay are only two percent."

He added that Serbian tennis federation head Slobodan Zivojinovic should have attended the Davis Cup draw to protect Serbia's interests. "Serbia should lobby for its interests in tennis just like our team does with Novak."'

He actually thinks there's a conspiracy with the making of the draw for D.C...he also went to a radio station in Belgrade recently to tell the hosts of a radio show he was listening to that they weren't talking about Novak enough on the air.
