Federer's glory days are over?

Postby SamaelBANNED » Thu, 25 Oct 2007 09:02

He's not the same express we all knew.He misses now not only with his bh but with his fh too...Too many mistakes, signs of frustration etc...I think he won't last another year on the first atp position.

Yeah I agree, he has had a bad year with only 3 grand slams won and one final  He should retire right now.
The year he just had would be the best year ever since rod lavers days if it werent for the year federer had last year.
He is still dominating more than anyone before him so I think he can keep it up for some time yet.

I really really really hope, for your sake, that you're joking (Samael).

Federer has at LEAST 5 great years left in him.

If Federer does not get a coach, I say that he will only have one year even on top of men's tennis.

However, if he can find a way to play as the "old computerized" Federer, then I say he has many great years to come. :P

Hehe, would be cool he stays nr 1 until he retires. I think as Elargento. At least 3 more years. And even when he retires I think he will be a top 10 player.

Yes. I can see this; but, what about the way he is playing right now? It is not certainly not enough to win Finals. It is remarkable that the way he is playing gets him to Finals though. 8)

looooool so funny. maybe that is the curse of a fantastic player. if people are getting use in your winning streak, and then you lose only one final......oh damn this guy sucks now, his end is near.

samael, maybe today you are a bit more drunken as usual....

correction....fed hasn't play his best since us open 2005. from then on he only played one or two amazing matches (for example vs roddick at australian open this year).
but amazing is, even a federer with just 80% and much pressure from all sides, was able to defend nr.1 in the world.
sometimes i would be happy, federer loses nr.1 and loses one grand slam final except roland garros. so he wouldn't feel so much pressure anymore, and maybe could find back to his game like us open 2004.......you remember vs hewitt???
how was it??
6:0 7:6 6:0

I agree to you Sammy. This is when he has been seen by the media as leaving his high level of game and him starting to play at every one else's game level. Well, at least, the media in the states.

Nobody's on Federer's level, trust me. Just try to tell ANY ATP pro that 'Federer's losing his edge" and I guarantee you'll get laughed at
