With our biggest threats Australia and the All Blacks being knocked out of this competition, there is a huge chance now for South Africa to win this cup.

We beat England 36-0 in the group stage of this competition. With or without Wilkinson they got absolutely no chance against us.

What South Africa needs now is for the Scots to do us a favour by beating the Pumas in their match today. That should mean for us a relatively easy semi-final match against Scotland. But, if Argentina beat Scotland, then it will definately be a much harder task for us in the semis.

South Africa is by far the favourite condidate but I really wish to see France vs Argentina in the Final. ( Revenge of the first match :D )

The Scottish will need to play at their best if they want to beat the Pumas today.

PS. My cousin ( Benazzi ) used to be the capitain of the French team in the 90's and that is why am a big big big fun of France. So my vote won't be objective and will go for the All Blues.

Irrelevant bloufo.

Beating England in a group stage match when they are playing badly and you are playing well is one thing. Beating them in a knock out match with their back against the wall is an entirely different prospect.

While I think S Africa would beat England if they met in the final, I wouldn't be surprised if England beat them. I certainly wouldn't say England have no chance. It would be like saying France have no chance. After what happened yesterday, to say such a thing would be foolish.

It's all nonsense anyway because Scotland are going to win the world cup. :D

No way dude, you're way off on this one. What's this nonsense of England performing better with "their backs against the wall"?
We are at this moment in time a better rugby outfit than the poms. Simple as that! You can argue that it's a one off match, but still, to turn their form around against us will be almost impossible. Don't look at the aussie or All Blacks loss as perhaps a basis for your argument. They were never tested so far in this competition and almost went into their respective matches against England and France quite a bit underdone. South Africa has had their scare against a team already. We are as prepared for these matches as we have ever been. If we lose, we lose to a class team, not to the boot of Wilkinson.

Ok. After today's match, South Africa is no longer the favourite condidate imo and to tbh they were not very convincing in the last 2/3 matches.

If you're a rugby fan then you must know and realise that these South Pacific islanders like Tonga Samoa and Fiji have really stepped up their game recently and improved considerably of late. Just ask Wales, they can attest to that fact. So to make judgement on South Africa's performance against Fiji without taking Fiji's improvement into cosideration, is not realistic. So yes, we were not very convincing in this match, but the ball skills of the opposition also had something to do with our performance. Anyway, I still feel that we are going to win this tournament.

I do fully realise that and I am wondering why they are not part of the Tri Nations tourny as all of them deserve a place in there.

I can already see France and Argentina in the Final with France winning with a big score difference.
