NEW FEATURE: "Player Spotlight"

Postby Cro Morgan » Tue, 13 Mar 2007 16:04

The tour will be unveiling a new feature this week: "ITST Player Spotlight."

Periodically, throughout the year, the ITST will spotlight two of it's members - one from the PC tour, another from the Xbox 360 tour.

Members who agree to be spotlighted will be asked a number of questions - some about gaming, others not. No worries - none too personal. Their answers, along with a photograph, will be posted under the "News" heading on the home page of their respective tours.

After pitched battles on the court - and at times, in the forums - I believe we all would like to know more about the person behind the Gamertag. This new feature should help fill this void.

The first "Player Spotlight" will be published before the end of the current week. Others will follow.

If you have any questions - or comments/suggestions after the feature is published, please drop me a line.

These are the spotlights that have been conducted already:

RAE1980
Baghdad SIMbad
Djokovic_Fan
Don
Hillman
Soundfsilence
Djarvik
Grombali
Brgerflipr
Emate007
VillaJ100
Yippie-Caiay
Venom400
Patko7

Nice feature. Sounds as a "Player of the week/month/year" - portait. Very good.

Very interesting,
and where will you be able to see the "interview"? On the news page?

Very cool; almost makes up for the fact that you guys haven't kicked Danisnake a.k.a 'Rafa Nadal' off the tour yet.

Great idea! It sounds too a bit like the Player's blog like: "Nadal writes from Paris or Federer writes from Tokyo" stuff for example.

I think that this is a wonderful idea. Maybe, we will get to know more about players who play but are ranked outside the top 100 or something.

Will these players do the "interview" voluntarily? Or will they be chosen by you, paul??

I think they will be selected by Paul and asked whether or not they agree to the interview. If they do, then the relevant questions regarding the Q&A will be forwarded to them.
