I played my very first ITST match vs you. I thought I was hot shit as I used to crush all the online opposition I played and used to be amazed if I lost a set.

Hey guys! I hope everyone is well!

I wanted to post here because I've been checking out the game and don't really find it quite as bad as a lot of people are saying online. It definitely could use some work but there's also a lot of room for potential here. As a gamer, I'm not really super concerned with the graphical aspects and what the crowd looks like as much as the system and game.

I really like that the first patch was already released, and the shots feel much better as a whole since the patch. Hoping they continue to be as active as this with adding the online mode, etc.

I like the stats design thus far and the skills as a whole. I like that you don't have to commit to having a player that is totally awful at groundstrokes in order to have a decent volley skill.

My biggest issue so far is the lack of faces in created players, and obviously the lack of online. Would help to see more fresh faces pop up or be able to customize them more?

I really like the inclusion of being able to rearrange your player stats in the career with the update. I do not like the uptick in frequency of replays however. Do any of you super knowledgeable guys know if they included or will include something you can unlock to quickly create a level 30 player?

I think and feel pretty much the same. I have hopes since the potential is there.

However, it is still impossible for me to hit a volley after the serve, which I cannot really figure either.
The volley trigger is akward too. It really needs to be used carefully.

Cannot wait to play you all online old mates eventhough I'm pretty sure it won't be as orgasmic and epic as our TS3 battles

Agreed. They need to make volley button work better because it's too hard to S&V. Also, the serve stat doesn't seem to make enough of a difference. I tested with 156 serve and it was pretty weak overall.

They need to balance the stats more at the moment because Defensive setup easily dominates all others. Really looking forward to playing you!!

According to their Facebook the online mode is tentatively scheduled for next week. If anyone has XB1 and wants to hit around with this old dog I’d be happy to get some practice in when the update drops.

Tnx for response,in matter of interest/demand how many ps4 players you need to host a tour for this version,im asking because at least 5 of my friends from ps4 have or will buy the game in next weeks and on a group on Fb for ps4 gamers for sure im going to find at least 10 more.

Then I had a good day. I also remember you because you wrote something similar after the match. But now i play PS4 and not Xbox anymore. AO Tennis is now clearly the better tennis game for me.

The AO developers are keen on improving the game and are very interested in what people think (i.e. they're listening to tennis gamers and implementing suggested changes). It doesn't do any good to rip on the game - writing it off as a "stupid arcade game with no future."

Michael Merren is the development director for AO tennis and he frequents the ITST Discord channel. Why don't you stop by and offer your suggestions -- tell Mike what you think should be changed/added/modified.
