Uhm, not really at the minute. Been in a bit of a stagnation.

Found this lady who is quite good but her music is hit or miss.

Listened toIhsahn's newest album, and it was pretty eclectic. A couple of standouts, but some misses too. Personal favourites are Pressure, Celestial Violence and Frail.

I've been relistening over Leprous and Caligula's Horse albums recently. Bloom has really developed over time to my years. Enjoying it much more. The Congregation is still hit or miss for me. Also gave Still Life by Opeth a few more spins, and it's still pretty awesome.

Listened to some other bands, but nothing really stuck. Earth, Vorum, Machine Head, nothing really stuck.

One band that did stick were Igorrr, but I can't say if I enjoy it or not. It's such an intricate mess.

Very quite jealous.

I'm tempted to get tickets to get see Devin again. And if he plays songs from the new album, like Higher then I'll be happy. That middle section completely blew me away when I heard it. I just never expected that from him so far into his career because I didn't realise he was still capable of being so angry. I mean, it still isn't quite as pissed as he was back in SYL, but it's the closest he's been in years, and it's great.

Metallica dumped their new album on youtube and it's boring, lethargic and bland. Which is what was expected, unfortunately.

Wolf People released a new album that I need to give a listen, and so did Enslaved. Speaking of Enslaved, I gave the frontman's side project, Skuggsja, a listen, and it was quite an interesting album. Will need more listens, I reckon. A mix of Enslaved and Wardruna.

Been starting mid way of the album "red" and on..... definitely quality output, if robotic a bit. Einar pours his soul into the vocals, really makes it special for me.

Apparently Igorrr have a new album coming out this year. If you are into crazy electronic-baroque-metal madness, then give their previous album, Hallelujah, a listen in the mean time.


I can't say I fully enjoy it, but it's just so interesting and so much is happening that I just keep replaying it over... and over.
