With his title in Buenos Aires Nadal has slipped past Borg and Sampras. I would certainly rate him higher than Borg but Sampras' long-ass run at No. 1 puts him a bit ahead imo. Also 2 years ago I said that Federer won't ever be close to Lendl but 10 titles in 2 years are not impossible to do. I don't see him winning another Slam but 1-2 Masters titles per year and some 250-500 are definitely within reach.

Few days ago I read an article saying that some titles should not be countable as "official" by the ATP, cause they were played in parallel tours that today we would compare to exhibition matches or tournaments (like Abu Dhabi or Kooyong).

The tour the article was talking about are (for example) US Indoor Circuit, IPA Circuit and Bill Riordan Circuit (and others).
According to the author of the arcticle, we should consider "only" The World Championship Tennis and the Grand Prix (these two merged in the ATP World Tour in 1990)

Using this system, some players would see their titles "cut away".
Here are some examples:
Jimmy Connors from 109 to 88 (-21, big loss).
Ivan Lendl would stay at 94. Same thing goes for Big Mac, with 77 titles.
Bjorn Borg from 64 to 62.
Guillermo Vilas from 62 to 60
Ilie Nastase from 58 to 43 (15 titles less, wow).

I'm not saying it's a right way to see things, also because ATP will not change his official statistics.
But what do you guys think about this observation?

The old system also inflated WTA victories like 167 wins for Navratilova and 154 for Evert. In Evert's case that is basically 10 tournaments per year across her entire career and that's not even counting all the finals she lost and the tournaments she skipped (it was common in the 70's and early 80's even for top players to skip the AO).

Not even starting with Pre-Open Era "achievements". I mean what are the 12 Single Slams by Emerson worth without facing Laver for over half a decade.

I have a mac now. So I've been relegated to Mr.Troll for now.

Maybe in a year I get new computer and make friendly friends on TE instead of the enemies I troll during matches. I've never actually had a competitive friend, I'm just so good at being the one everyone wants to beat.

Oh seriously I beat Kyuuji giving all of you light players confidence that you could still beat the top player.

Also, ITST was actually hosting so many Top Spin 4 tournaments but wasn't giving Tennis Elbow enough exposure at the time. I actually preferred playing on a faster court, while everyone complained that the faster courts were unrealistic. So many reasons they complained and made my Grand Slam win seem less significant in the grand scheme of things.

I'm too lazy to use Bootcamp and it slows down the battery life too apparently. And I'm also not playing half as well as I used to, I can't wait for Top Spin 5 (whenever that may come out).

Back on topic, I think Novak certainly has a chance to eclipse Roger Federer in this record, he seriously plays the top players better than any play I've seen and consistently reaches the higher rounds.
