The way he nishikori steps in consistently and takes that ball early is really impressive. He's like a mini Novak out there

both at their best Nishi would've crushed Rafa today, right now the Japanese player is far better

Nishikori's been one of my favorites for a while, too bad he had to retire against Nadal.

Japanese always seem to bring some crazy outside the box type shit to sports.

Impressed by Kei. Great tournament overall. About the final, sure, he did great yesterday but in the long run, Nadal's name will be listed as the winner and not his performance.

In semis he beat Ferrer. My theory is that if you want to be among the best, you have to beat most of the times a pure pusher style player like David Ferrer, a guy that yes, he's a beast in defense and trows you back every shot that he can reach but hasn't really got exceptional weapons to hurt you otherwise. If you're a great player, you should find a way to beat him. No wonder the Top guys (Nadal, Djokovic, Federer, Murray (except clay)), all have great records against him. Wawrinka and Nishikori started to solve the puzzle lately.
Key is still young and I think he can be among the best players in the world judging his potential and his recent performances. We still have to know if he has the physical condition to stay there. We'll find out.
