TS4 servers : GAME OVER

Considering all TS games, TS4 had THE BEST support.

The reason TS3 servers are still on is because, lets face it, its a better game even today.


BTW - still waiting for response from 2K. Looks like the people I am talking to are not aware of the server shut down. So it maybe a temporary situation. Will let you know guys as soon as I have a response.

Only two years TS4 servers life?? I can believe it.... TS4 is the first tennis game where there is timing...... his gameplay is awesome and more life like. Maybe 2k is thinking on ts5 so they closed the servers because the game doesn't make money and they only spell it whith the servers maintenance but anyway we have the right to play enjoying all his features for more time.... at least until the ts5 output.

This was a hard blow to me... I hope this isn't true

Just for your information, TS4 was announced in september 2010 and was released in march 2011 = 7 months.
TS5 wasn't announced yet, so at minimum, it won't be released before June 2013.

i know that i m done with 2 k games.games like call of duty can work for 7 or 8 years and this 1 good tennis game worked for like 2 years and shut down with no heads up or anything that would tell us what is going on

Unfortunately, it's not temporary situation.

I called 2K France too after Obezpyer did it, and same story : a guy confirmed that TS4 server was definitively down. He did not talk about any server restart.

About TS5, no clue. The only thing I know is what I told you about my friend who's game producer : there's no certainty that TS5 will be out one day as he said, when I asked him if there was a date : "If there is a TS5... etc."

Djarvik : will you continue to organize ATP tournaments for TS4 even if there's no more patch ?

Well, I'm sure many agree that tS4 wasn't a fun game anyway but it stinks that for the players that liked it. I would have been equally pissed if they did that during TS3. Oh well. Feels a bit like an end of an era. TS3 lasted the longest and I still have a great deal of fun playing it even though the only players I play are computers. Funny that they didn't shut down TS3 server since absolutely nobody plays it at all anymore. Go figure.

What I don't understand is that they have just released a 2KGames compilation with NBA2K + Top Spin 4 + an other game I think ^^

Yeah it wasn't a perfect game but I definitely had fun with it.

Before TS2 I never thought I could be really good at a videogame, like good enough to beat 95% of anybody else who plays the game. I have been playing videogames since age 4/5 but never really took them 'serious', never tried to actually 'practice' or 'get good' at a game, I just played.
