Fed's point won't count for the race, it will change nothing much either for his rank since he's not gonna fall out of top 8, especially since he didn't play Bercy last year.

Last year he played Basel and scored 300 points by reaching the final.

The 95 points difference is with respect to the Race, so the 300 points he is defending for the Entry Ranking do not matter.

For the race to wtf he is not defending 300 points.. It's all about gaining when we talk about ATP race ranking, not defending last year points.. Right?

Waw out 1st round in Basel, I have the feeling Tsonga will feel like he should have been playing there ^^

Yeah correct I was mixing up race points and current rankings because even right before the WTF the points from last year still effect your ranking but not your race points.

Anyway, Federer - Dimitrov next, should be interesting.

Tsonga wants to concentrate on Paris 100%. This year there won't be a march by an unseeded player and Jerzy might do a sharp nosedive.

Not sure Tsonga's knee will let him play his best in Bercy, he'd need at least SF to "secure" his WTF spot without caring about others. Real pity he couldn't defend his chances after RG, he could have really stepped up in the rankings, maybe around Delpo. Now he doesn't even have a coach anymore...

Anyway if Gasquet doesn't qualify this year he ll be truly disappointed.

Baby federer vs roger federer.. Their first meeting right? Will be good to see. Anyways seeing federer's current form I won't be surprised if he loses. His serve has no longer that magic it used to have.. He doesn't even hit that many aces now.

P.s fed will qualify if he wins Basel

I think Federer should qualify even if he won't win Basel, causeTsonga and Gasquet are in the same draw zone in Bercy (they're supposed to face each other in R16).
This means that one of them will get only 90 points.

On the other side, Federer had a tough draw. Anderson or Youzhny, then probably Haas, then Del Potro and then possibly Djokovic...

Fed is almost qualified, Gasquet and Tsonga won't make it both to Wtf. Only thing that could make Waw or Fed not suceed would be them losing very early combined with great run from Waw and Gasquet/Tsonga while either Haas, Almagro or Raonic would win Bercy (the later only needs to make F to get there).

Am I rite ?
