I predicted, to my friend, that the score would be Nadal winning 6-2, 5-7, 6-0, 7-6.

For a set and a half I was thinking 'I actually AM God'

Not to be.

2-3 years ago i thought it was absolutely impossible a guy could reach Fed's number of majors, today i have serious doubts, Nadal is truly an amazing player.

Undefeated on hardcourts.

Back in 2006 I NEVER thought I'd be saying that about Nadal.

btw after this victory i'm sure Federer will do everything in his power to stay 1-2 years and try to get 1 more GS, i'm sure he never thought Rafa could break his record, this could be good for tennis although i'm afraid Federer will struggle to get his form back.

Yes federer now will stick untill he's 35 atleast. He's already so impressed by the fact that agassi won a slam at age of 33.

Btw I think this year wtf will be awesome with nadal playing his best. I hope roger qualifies for it as well and gets back in form.. Would love to see some high quality stuff between these two at world tour finals

that would be great, but Nadal never finds his best form in november-december and i guess this year won't be a different story, in addition to that indoor tennis courts have never been a good scenario for him

This 'Federer' guy was Eberg's stringer for that one match where he killed a guy with his serve.

Next year will be a nigtmare for Rafa btw, so many points to defend on hard court   i hardly believe he can do this well next year.
In my opinion this guy is the King of Strategy (in and out of the court) so i wouldn't be surprised if this year he wasn't that dissapointed when he lost in the 1ST ROUND  of Wimbledon because his goal was the US Open. He lost in the 1ST ROUND

So Nole has dropped to 6-6 in Slam finals and 1-4 in USO finals. Almost back to pre 2011 Chokabitch 8) And he still has tons of points to defend, won Beijing, Shanghai and ATP Finals last year.

If Nadal reaches the Beijing final (300 points) he will become No. 1 again, no matter what Nole is going to do.

I am a bit surprised that he chose Beijing over Tokyo though.

What's surprising about that? Masters vs 500, no?
