He isn't playing that badly. He is making some unforced, and serving decently, but Youzhny just isn't missing much. His slice is doing damage and his backhand is working well. Youzhny's level would have to drop (or he could get nervous serving it out) and Gulbis would have to improve slightly to have a chance. Only one break in the 2nd set though.

EDIT: Youzhny to serve for it.

Youzhny wins. Apparently he was serving 80% first serves in the first set (and 71% over the 2 sets). I think Gulbis was a little too passive, and when he tried to be aggressive he was forcing it too much and missing. But he didn't play badly. Youzhny was just better.


Also, trying to spell Youzhny so often hurts my head.
