Serena

This whole story shows childish behavior from both players, but i wanted to bring this up to speak about Serena Williams, again.
Nothing to say about her as a tennis player, far better player than Maria Sharapova but out of the court that woman is disgusting, cocky, rude etc, not good role model as a number 1 for kids who want to be pro athletes. Lot to learn from Federer and Rafa for example.
Cocky players? yes, but only......on court.

This woman is alway making inappropiate comments about others, and man! there's lot to say about this bodybuilder as well

According to the Rolling Stone story, Williams spoke about what the reporter described as "a top-five player who is now in love."

“There are people who live, breathe and dress tennis. I mean, seriously, give it a rest.” Serena exits the car and the conversation moves on to a top-five player who is now in love. “She begins every interview with ‘I’m so happy. I’m so lucky’ — it’s so boring,” says Serena in a loud voice. “She’s still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it.” (An educated guess is she’s talking about Sharapova, who is now dating Grigor Dimitrov, rumoured to be one of Serena’s ex-boyfriends.)

Maria Sharapova returns a crosscourt shot down the line

“Obviously I have a tremendous amount of respect for Serena and what she’s achieved on the court,” Sharapova said. “If she wants to talk about something personal, maybe she should talk about her relationship and her boyfriend that was married and is getting a divorce and has kids. Talk about other things, but not draw attention to other things. She has so much in her life, many positives, and I think that’s what it should be about.”
Williams has been linked romantically to coach Patrick Mouratoglou, though neither has discussed their relationship specifically. Mouratoglou was married until recently.

I agree Xavi, she's an awful example for up and coming kids. She has that utterly disgusting 'me me me me me' attitude and she's one of those people that, in her own eyes, can do no wrong. So an apology from her means exactly jack shit; it was probably just suggested by her PR agent.. Funny too since she is supposedly 'religious', yet you would NEVER know by how she acts!!!

'I will shove this ball down your throat!!!' LOL remember that US Open???

She's garbage, as a human being. GARBAGE.

Is she really that bad of a human being? She is a gossipy and over competitive. Probably the most intense female of any sport ever. When gossip goes public...unclassy. Her intensity can be very off setting and it clearly got the best of her at the us open after the foot fault call.

But Fed and Rafa are aren't perfect either. The same year as Serena did her thing at the us open fed followed her up and told the umpire "I don't give a shit" which got to millions of televisions in the United States. And Rafa last year purposely bumped into Rosol at Wimbeldon while walking to their chairs. Rosol just laughed at him. Even the classiest will have moments that you have to say "do the opposite of that."

She also recently kind-of blamed a rape victim for getting raped:

With regard to success in professional tennis, intelligence is apparently not required.

Secondly get all the facts before you comment the writer of the story ASSUMED it was sharapova she was talking about as serena MENTIONED NO NAMES in the conversation because he knew peole would do what peole are doing now hating on serena denigrating her when there was no proof that she was talking about maria she jumped to a conclusion like most of you have WITH NO SOLID PROOF OR FACTS it was indeed maria she was talking about

It's still blaming the victim. And that is bad.

no its making her realise that certain choices you make can have bad consequences. and she is basically saying the young girl and her parents should question the choices she makes and rightly so the culprit is a disgrace to manhood.

but this should also serving as a point of caution to young girls drinking under age she made a choice to drink under age and though that does not mean she derserved to be raped she needs to understand that a choice she made , made her vulnerable and that was Serena's point to not put herself in a postion of vulnerability like she did when she drank as a minor and in that regard serena is right. and although right now the young lady is healing that fact needs to be made aware to her and other young girls so they don't give the sick excuse of a human being like the culprit the chance to do want they did again

I can't believe you're defending Serena's comments on this. If a man said of a woman who was raped "she was lucky, she shouldn't have put herself in that position"....... well...... no one would be defending him.

It's certainly Sharapova she was talking about who even made a statement about it (couldn't be bothered). Not worth making a topic about it though. :P

Agreed those comparisons were stupid. Let Federer say shit once in a while, will make him look less boring :)
