Jack Suck won't even be playing professional tennis then because he can't afford traveling.

5 years from now I can see Nole still winning tournaments. Out of the non established players Janovicz and Dimitrov are the most likely Top 10 candidates. Raonic is actually dropping now.

Interesting, but i don't think neither Novak nor Murray will be playing in 2018, too many years and both guys base their game on their physical condition.
5 years... :? :? i will be 37

The best player in 2018, according to Steyolol, Roger Federer.

Yeah, but didn't he stop playing for a year or two?, the age is not the problem, the point here is since when you are paying at the higuest level without resting a single year

They took it from a French magazine. It's not their own Top 10. :P

I think this is an overstatement!
Why not ? They'll be 31 years also in 2018; a tennis player can be at the top of his game at that age (that's the trend now) so I still see them at the top of the ranking also in that year. Even if they'll not move in the court like they do now (I believe they'll still be among the best from this point of view), the experience gained could very well compensate.

Anyway, I think many of the top 10 today will still be there in 2018: Djokovic, Murray, Nadal, Del Potro, Berdych and Wawrinka. In addition I see Nishikori, Dimitrov, Janowicz (all solid top 10 players), Raonic (around top 10 spot as I think he reached now his peak and cannot go much further), Fognini (same as Raonic), maybe Tomic (I still think he has a solid game), Kyrgios and Gulbis (which definitely has the talent to be there but I don't think he'll ever reach the consistency to be solid top 10 player; he'll go in and out many times). That's all...I see nobody else than these guys. I hope young guys will emerge but right now I don't trust anybody that I know (Kozlov, Zverev, Quinzi)..maybe Kokkinakis can make it but so far he didn't prove much.

But, most likely there'll be suprises. We'll see

the point here is not their ages, 31 is fine, the problem here is the time playing as a pro when they get 31-35. Nadal playing in 2018? a guy that played finals against Federer when he was 17???? highly doubt that, but you said it, we'll see

When you win - you tend to play more. For a player that has basis of his game as movement - this is a sure way for an early retirement. Djokovic/Rafa are on that list. Unless they become more aggressive - they will decline. Show me a 30+ year old who is as fast as they are and wins/plays as many matches as they are?

Murray is done. 8)
