New PM feature:Player editor

Some of you who were here 6 months ago may remember that we had a player editor, where you could upload your Top Spin career and it would edit the skills for you...

..well, it's back, hopefully for good! It takes some effort to keep running, so we've had to make it a premium member feature. However, PM's can use it as many times as they like.

To use it, simply go to your personal page and click on the 'Modify Top Spin Career' link. Please note this only applies to PC Top Spin, that your character has to be fully trained, and that you can only have 14 stars! Within that range, you can change whatever you like.

Characters are processed semi-automatically, but normally it should be within hours. You'll recieve a mail when it's done.

We hope we can improve this new feature in the future, so please post your ideas and feedback.

By the way, the reason that only fully trained guys can be swapped is because otherwise, there might be a way to add extra training slots to your guy and get a 5th skill. So I'm only allowing 14 * guys for now. Hopefully one day I'll block that bug and allow you to train guys from nothing.

i have tested it and it works!! cool thing...
@berg: du kannst jetzt als premiummember deine spieler beliebig ändern. vorraussetzung is nur das sie schon nr.1 spieler sind und du kannst net mehr als 14sterne verteilen(logischerweise). d.h. wenn de nen spieler hast wo z.b. 5441 is kannst ihn auf 4334 oder so ändern und die fertigkeiten auch und so....

I'd want to thank Koopax for his superb job.
I sent him 3 players for changing stars and skills, and he early sent me the new files. Top Spin works well.

The player has an age stored inside the career file, but as far as I know it has no meaning.

If I am not mistaking, there is a 14 trial membership. Also, if you donate, as a gold member benefactor, you will get the first year free (premium membership).

Ask management or read around ITST to see if this concept is still in action!

Hey mate !

For having wandered round the whole site (& forum) even through its far depths, I definitely know the ways to become a Premium Member :wink:

However, with my innuendo I'm here asking the managers to open this new feature to everyone, including basic members (who don't want to pay for it). I'm a strong defender of everything free and to help, I prefer to spend time and sweat instead of money. :-)

That doesn't mean that I'll never donate a cent to the ITST (because I know that can also be very useful) but that idea to privilege donors over others isn't for me.

I have some doubts.

How many times can I edit the same player? I've changed mine so many times, I'm afraid of changing more. I'm still deciding which character suits me better and I keep changing my mind on which skills I should have heheh...

Also, is there any way of editing serve styles? When we create a new player, we have 4 options. But there are more than just these 4, as some players like Kuerten and Grosjean have unique moves.
Sampras has that super cool right-hand movement as well, is it possible to have it?

If it were possible to change character's movements it'd be cool to see your player each time more unique. As long as it does not bring any unbalance to the game...

I've added this (experimentally). I don't know how many service styles there are ; I think at least 5, so I've enabled the first 6.

If anyone wants to try these out and let us know how it goes, I'd be very grateful. It's possible that service style 6 will break the player - if this happens, just resubmit and go back to another one.
