Can you quit the tournament and sign up for another one?

When I was "young" I signed up to SANTIAGO Chile 25+, 04 Mar'13 .. 20 Mar'13. Now I realize I'm not the one to play on Clay surface. I just prefer hard courts. So can I quit the tournament and sign-up for something else?

PM the host of the tournament that you wish to withdraw your signup.
He will most likely delete you from the participants list so that you can sign up for another tournament.

Ok thanks you actually gave an answer that I didn't know of. but I see now if I quit the challenger the other option is to enter the BNP Paribas masters 1000 tournament. I've entered the future event in the same week. But I don't think I can even dream of entering masters event. I'll probably join the Miami Sony Erricson one.
