Well, c'mon Alex...since there's no .dmo, you could have tried to make at least a better report

The match started with long rallies, as I expected it to. Alex and I had pretty similar gamestyles ; we tried to defend, waiting for the right moment to attack, Alex in a little more offensive way than me. And he finally broke, then led 4-1. I could come back to 4-4, we won our serve game to 5-5, and then he became way more agressive at 6-5 to win the first set 7-5. We already were tired from that first set.
Since I discovered my own mental strength against Richie in R16, I didn't give up. Alex probably relaxed too much and I had an early break, hardly won so I could lead 2-0. I think he started to be frustrated so he began to make more errors, and I had a second break opportunity, which I won and confirmed ; That was 4-0 for me. On his next serve game, I even led 0-30, two points left and it would have been 5-0 for me, but he finally came back with good S&V. 4-1. I easily won my next serve game, 5-1. And here is the tipping point. Alex thought he had nothing left to lose in this set, so he totally changed his tactic ; he reminded me of Richie, refusing to go behind his baseline and attacking even when it was really risky. Richie really put me in a tough situation, but since Alex is a little better than him, he came back 5-5, and even led 6-5. I honestly wasn't scared and won my game serve after losing the two previous. 6-6, and a death tie-break. If I remember well, he was the first to mini-break. Actually, there was a lot of mini-breaks until 4-3 for Alex, who won the two next points to lead 6-3. I saved one set point, but he made a winner and finally won the 2nd set. 7-5 7-6.
Most could think I started to think that was already lost, but I didn't even if I would have had reasons to after Alex broke at 0-0. I kept on fighting to unbreak, but he broke again and I didn't have opportunities to come back. At 5-3, I was serving, and he tried to win the match on my serve ; and he did. Game, set, match, and championship AlexJasmins.
I'm a bit disappointed since I had opportunities in the second set. Maybe the match would have been different if I had won it. But I only see what's positive ; I didn't expect to be here, playing for the title for my first participation in a Grand Slam. In fact, I know that nobody expected me to be here (only C4iLL did...

), and that's a great achievement for me. Also I've learnt a lot about me, about what I had to improve, but also about my strong points. For sure it gives me a good confidence for the season. Now I’ll rest and work to improve what’s missing in my game. I’m really happy about what I did during the past few weeks, and I hope I’ll do even better in the future.
