Her serve is one of her biggest weapons. If that's taken out due to injury than the the result isn't that surprising....
I really hope anyone but screamapova wins. (Stephens, Li or Vika in that order)

Tsonga wasn't far at all today, he globally dominated Federer with his power during the 4 first sets, but Fed had an awesome BH today and was extremely good at the net (70% of net approaches won !).

Tsonga even broke two times Fed in the fourth set, it's a pity he disconnected a bit during the first part of the fifth...

Well, after the 4th set I was terrified by Tsonga (I'm a huge Federer fan), remembering Wimbledon.
Then I noticed that, luckily, he wasn't in "touched by Gods of Tennis" mode, but Roger played really bad.

Service didnt work for all the match. But I have to say that in the tie breakers, he elevated the percentage of 1st serves in.
But he could had the match won in 4 sets.
On 1-1 in the 4th, 0-40, 4 break points, you have to capitalize. Ok, Tsonga played fantastic on 3 bp at least, no doubt, credits to Jo. But there was one break point that Rog could play better.
Considering how badly he was serving, probably that break wouln't mean victory for Federer, but you never know, maybe Tsonga would gave up on that.

But in the final set, Roger was more brilliant, and that's a good thing: I think we've seen the best tennis from both players in the 5th.
It's been a not-so-good-to-see match, too much unforced from both side, but it was very intense and close.

With that said, after wasting 4 match points, I was literally scared when Federer served for the match on 5-3. On 30-30, during the rally, I was like in apnoea, holding my breath...
Well done Federer, it's always a good thing when you win playing not at your best, against a tough opponent.

Of course, this level won't be enough against Murray, but if Federer plays like the first rounds, then it could be a great match.

I'm still amazed at how Federer is playing at 31. He is still so graceful, and he is still great to watch in his wizardry. :)

Azarenka getting a 10 min MTO for "feeling nervous and difficult to breathe" after blowing 5 match point to kill Stephen's momentum. What a bitch. Hope Li Na wins the final.

Murray has not really been tested thus far which could be an advantage for Federer who had a tough as nails draw.

Dojokvic destroyed Ferrer 6-2 6-2 6-1. Hard defeat for Ferrer :(

He really deserves to reach a GS final. Maybe he don't have the level of the top 4, but he have more "balls" than Murray, Djoko, Nadal, and Federer together. He is really an example of hard work and courage, but obviously his tennis isn't enough.

Well, that move did by Azarenka wasn't really fair. She said, she wasn't able anymore to breath. Hmm....
Yes, Corbon, maybe that longer break disturbed the rhythm of the new american hope.
I also would like to see Na Li as the 2013 AO winner. Very likeable woman.

Yes, ELTXETXU, Ferrer skills are not enough to be competitive with the Top 4, very bad. Hope in RG he can do more and reach final any maybe win, on clay surface a realistic target. Ok... Nadal is then back, but at his TOP after the very long break? We will see.

I am a big fan of Roger, but on this slow surface in AO, hitting winner is so hard for him. Many times he just wait the errors coming from the opponents. And Andy or Nole are so sure in their games. UE are rare. I just hope his net/volley play will be very secure and his backhand will be higer skilled and with more constant than in TE.... :P

What you guys think? Predcitions?
Grande Roger, il numero uno al mondo!!!

Murray has never beat Fed on grand slams and lost in 2 sets at Barclays. I see Fed

Well, streaks are made to be broken.
I certainly hope Federer will win, but let's make it clear, Murray is favourite in my opinion.

Murray will probably try his best to do a great start of the match like he did in Wim or at the WTF, Fed will have to rely on his serve mostly otherwise he's out in 3 for sure. I'd love to see a Djoko/Fed final but i'm afraid Murray will defeat him in 3 or 4.

Murray got tight in the 4th and then regrouped brilliantly. Totally deserved win.

Glad our village idiot isn't around anymore.
