Totally agree on these points. It would be more realistic to have a progressive age in "carreer" mode, with injuries and also variaton of your shape and fitness (they could depend on number of tournaments played, for example, so you'll have to be careful about year schedule). And for sure, your player should be able to play more than one event in a month...
I think the best tournament schedule in carreer mode in tennis videogames was by "Smash and court tennis pro tournament 2", ranking system point was pretty much the same as real, and even the suddivision of tournament was nearly similar to the reality.
For what concerns the real players included in the game, I've also asked myself why tennis videogames can't be like, for instance, soccer and basketball videogames. I mean, why in tennis VG there "can" only be just 8-16 real players involved.
It's a matter of money, of license, or something else?
