Timing problems

I've been playing this game for 5 months now on the Xbox 360. I now have my cousins PS3 with Top Spin 4 (for a week) and i couldn't time my shots to save my life.....
I played 2k Open with Agassi and i lost to an ,at best, very mediocre Nadal player and i got trashed 3-0 3-1. Is there a timing difference between Xbox and PS3?
If so hats off to the guys who play on both systems.
