Malaysia Open

I had my first round match with Kono yesterday. Lost 6-3 6-3 with Nadal vs Nadal. First time playing with Nadal for me and you really have to play to his strengths. If you do he can be quite good to play with. I doubt i will switch to him permanently though.

Anyways, it was a fun match and my opponent was just better then me. We both did notice something though. Our returns in this match where mainly floaters. We couldnt really give much aim on them. We didnt record the match so i cannot show what i mean. I personally noticed it was more of a bug then bad returning later in the match. So although we should have tried to restart it was probably too late in the match for that. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience before.

What was the Auto-Delay? I've had these floaty returns of first serve against Knight621 in the US Open. I also had one test match against djarvik, in which it happened: There I waited longer to click on "Play" after djarvik joined, Ping got very high then and consequently the Auto-Delay, too. I was curious about what is going happen, so I clicked on "Play" after it happened. :p I did not notice anything on my return, but djarvik's returns were floaty. In other matches his returns were better.

Im not sure about the specific numbers but i did notice some high numbers (ping and auto-delay) in the room just before the game started. The ping in the match wasnt too high though.

R32: Algo d Goroger1 7/6 7/6
Mostly serves from both sides, had to throw a totally-uncalled-for net rush to have a mini break on first tie break and he had some unforced errors on second that gave me the match

EDIT: Hmm, I clicked on "Show Image" and then it worked properly. Problem is more that the image is maybe a bit too large and thus gets not displayed properly within the forum. I don't have a problem with it this way, now I know how I can see it all.

I don't think Goroger is to be discouraged by this.If you see the big picture it's a great result 6-7/6-7 against a good player like Algo!

R16: Spencercarlos def Kono 63 60

A great match, with long contested rallies for the first 7 games of the match, i had break points since his second game on serve, and finally broke like at the 7th or 8th break point. I had little trouble on serve (bar one break point jusst right after the first break on him) , today i actually tried to fast serve a little more and to dictate play more after that. I was able to hold serve the rest of the way, and was able to keep a good amount of return of serves in play and get going after that.

On his part he played quite different from what it was last week, of course understanable *he was Gulbis then, and i had the he was quite giving up as the match went on, but some credit for me as i played better and better, so a dissater combiasttion for him i guess.

Good luck in the rest of the season i am sure we will play great matches.

Good baseline player. I will retire a little bit from the tour, so please tour hosts to remove my sign ups for the tournaments I signed. Good luck everyone

Sounds to me like Dimitrov just wants some time off. Don't call it retire, call it a "break". :)

Yes, I have a lot of things to study in my new school and I'm in a new city - bigger. So I don't have much time to play.. Before my match versus El Croato I didn't hit a ball from 1 or 2 weeks. So I have to train a little bit this weeks and I will back when WTT starts or after 3-4 weeks, but I want ask the tour hosts to not remove my sign up for Uzbekistan because I want to try Goffin. I will be sometimes in the chat for some training matches so see you guys and GL & HF! :)
