New Forum

Seeing as we where about the last remaining forum on the internet to be still on an old version of phpbb2 i have upgraded it today. I will be uploading a different layout version later this afternoon. But that feel like that should keep the forum down.

BTW - the looks and colors will be changed, to mimic our previous design. But the layout and functionality will be new.

Not so sure to be honest. Wasnt the primary reason i did this. We'll have to see what it is capable of in the future. Should always be more then the old forum.

The main reason is was that we where still using phpbb2. That is an old version of phpbb (which is a forum type). By going to this phpbb3 version we should be better protected. To be honest, the fact we where still using phpbb2 was far from being a good thing.

Interesting. I'm not the biggest fan of the alien-head-shaped smilies though. I like the good old circle faced ones.

I like it. The Upload attachment feature seems to be new. It says the file extension "dmo" is not allowed, so I am sure you will be able to fix it -- this way we could upload our .dmo files easier for the TE Tour.

We now also have an ignore feature, more options for forum moderators as well (for example moving specific posts).

The backend features are pretty good as well. Nice extra options for banning spammers and removing all their posts at once.

A list of things not properly working anymore:

I just logged out from the main page, cannot log in anymore.

Clicking on "Members" on the main page shows no members anymore.

When I could log in to the main page, the link to Private Messages did not work.

As I have already told you: The PM system for hosts (when I could log in), does not work properly.
