Glitching surely?

Postby jayb1988 » Sat, 11 Aug 2012 16:13

I havent come across a glitched player for a while on here, and I'm trying hard not to mention his name but just played a match where something just wasn't right.

His player had no special skills, power was 69/serve was 73 - surely its not realistically possible that he can be serving close to 130mph serves each time like my player who is a diesel server with power and serve in the 80's?

Also he was hitting the ball fast and deep from all angles every time without fail, despite his wings being in the 60's and low 70's.

Surely this aint right?

I don't think the player is glitched. The showing of the skills and attributes is not right. Some mothns ago someone also said that I didn't have skills and really low attributes, when I was playing with Welch.

Just let him re-enter the game or change the host.

When you don't see the right stats, it means the player is glitched. That's the way I see it.

Exactly!

3 points to figure out a glitch:

1) you don t see the right stats

2) your strokes using d-pad are harder and better as using left stick

3) if your opponent makes just 1 serve with X or B (Slice, Topspin), the game frozes

The stats didnt match up to how he played, it was ridiculously obvious, he was playing like a big server and the stats were all in the yellow and orange and he never slow served which may explain point 3 and why it didn't freeze at any point. I don't want to presume he did it on purpose, its partly my fault because I invited him to the match and I don't think he went through WT, but either way its unfair as he was either glitched or his stats were hidden so I couldn't figure out a gameplan.

He was playing at least or above the level of the top players on this site and his record of around 50/50 win/loss sent the alarm bells ringing. I didn't film it so not sure what the hosts can do but I took a pic on my iphone of the hidden stats, hopefully I'll get a replay out of it!

There is a glitch in TS4 which causes you to see a different coach/build than your opponent is really using. However, I have only experienced this when playing the same opponent more than once(Haven't tried it with different opponents).

Here's how it works: After a match, both wants to play another game, but the one joining wants a player change. He quits the lobby and you re-invite your opponent to the same lobby, without quitting and hosting in a new lobby. If this is done, your opponent will sometimes(or always) seem to have chosen the same player as before, even if he's using a totally different coach/build.

Still, I haven't tried or experienced this with different opponents, but it's not so hard to believe that it might as well happen even with different opponents.

So the big question is: Did you host a match before your ITST match, and then invited your ITST opponent to the same lobby as the match before? :)

Agree with ary1g. It ll happen always whoever your opponent is. So I recommend to always create a new lobby before inviting someone.

It was a brand new lobby and we hadn't played a match beforehand. I always sign in to WT with the player I'm about to play with so will never stay in a lobby for more than one match.

The host has said that its hard to prove glitching which is fair enough really as I didn't film any of it so its my word against his even though I feel like I've been totally robbed and it leaves abit of a sour taste but I just have to accept it. A complaints been filed so if he was doing it on purpose he won't be able to cheat a win on anyone else which is the main thing.
