I couldnt find a great picture but you get the idea. Its a Colnago competition art decor. Once i finish studying and get a real job im gonna buy a proper racing bike.

This is not mine by the way just the same model So i have a different seat.

lovely, piece of art man, not kidding.

Van Poppel was just before my time unfortunately. Ive seen him on a Dutch tv show that is on during the TdF though. Impressive sprinter who had to be pushed over the mountains. Did you know that in the finish place of yesterday he once won a mass sprint in the mountain jersey. You dont see that every day.

Mine is slightly different. See the pins on the inside of the frame? I have some metal clips attached to them that hold my bottles.

Honestly, nowadays, if you don't watch cyclism because of doping, you should stop watching any other sports...
Cause the stakes are too high now, high class doping is everywhere.
And when you give a close look at wich sports try its best to fight against that plague : Athletism, Cyclism.
Soccer ? Ah ! Let me laugh !...
Almost the entire France '98 team was charged with EPO & Creatine... (I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, so I'll talk only about Deschamps, Zidane,...)

Thx to cyclism (and to cyclism only), we now have some more or less good weapons against doping (Biological passport, freezing the blood for tests in futur...) in ALL sports...
Well, it should work fine, but it needs the sports will to fight against it... Not really what Soccer or Tennis show... :/

Because there arent many doping cases in other sports does that mean they are clean or are the instances in charge just not looking at them?

Matheja already mentioned a good example about Football. Lets say C.Ronaldo was suspended for two years. Financially that would be such a blow for Real Madrid and the FIFA/UEFA. And also for the ratings of the major tournaments (CL,EC and WC). For the FIFA/UEFA ratings are everything. Just look at the manipulation of the camera shots during the last EC.

In a totally unrelated fashion, my father plays billiards! They hired two belgians to play for our club in the final stages of the competition. One of the players (apparently a top player in the sport) is named Eddy Merckx because in the year that he was born, the cyclist Eddy Merckx won the Giro!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddy_Merck ... rds_player)

But I don't like cycling! go on, go on! :p

Eddy Merckx is to Belgium what Maradona is to Argentina.

Well, I don't know that much about the current participants in the TdF, so don't have any favourites. Of course I hope for some Dutch success.

I'm just glad the 1st week is nearly over, since I'd rather watch curling or bowls than watching a flat stage in the TdF, just so incredibly boring. Mountain stages are fun though :)

Btw, as far as I know the leg shaving is just to make sliding over the asphalt a little more pleasant, as any aerodynamic advantage will be really small..

True, an open wound and hair on your legs is not a good combination.
