A lot of people glitch on ITST so I doubt you will get any help with your question.

As far as I know if you invite someone to a match whilst they're on the dashboard their player will glitch if they accept it without connecting to the server at the main menu

There is probably other ways to glitch as well so be careful

Usually their player will hit next to no errors, hit powerful shots even if their power stat is low, run faster and hit winners from anywhere on the court

Or if the game freezes when you do a button top spin serve then at least one of you is glitched

Really? That happened to me before in a match.

What is the mods advice on what procedures should we follow (in the PS3 in my case) to prevent this from happening? I have been asked to accept matches after being in the ball machine, then in the World Tour. I have also been asked to create matches in "public" instead of private... What should I do then?

What is the procedure for those who invite and for those who are invited?

Enter world tour before starting the match and ask your opponent to do the same.. Just in case if you wanna make sure that one of you is glitched or not then hit the very first serve a button top spin one.. If game don't freezes then its fine to continue the match.. Also pro players can be glitched one without the update because game also freezes when a pre patched pro player perform a button top spin serve.. So in that case you should enter 2k open first

Is this a theory or is it proven to be a certain way of deciding whether an opponent is glitching?

Don't understand why anyone should care to log onto WT before matches, instead of just doing a topspin serve in the beginning of the match to check, if this is the case?

Cuz before the update the game used to freeze on a button top spin serve.. It got fixed in the new update. Soo if the update didn't load or if you can't connect to the top spin server then the game will freeze on the serve. A clear indication of you being pre patched
