Yes, he now knows exactly how to lose to Raonic on clay. This experience is sure to help him lose to Gulbis in the next clay court tournament.

The faster he learns how to lose - the faster his ranking will plummet.

to be fair Raonic trains on clay ,in Barcelona, almost the whole year and his coach was a specialst on that surface, i mean not his best surface but he perfectly knows how to play on it

Murray has been talked about for years to win a major. He will suffer the similar fate of his country man Tim Henman. The only difference is Henman is more talented. I really thought that maybe since Lendl is coaching him that his offensive baseliner style would rub off I think the problem is mentally he is weak. Murray = Pusher and pushers don't win slams the one offs happen aka Roddick "Journeyman"!

-i still don't buy into the hype make no mistake beating murray is a big deal but to me he failed the acid test against ferrer think about it he has beaten. Verdasco and murray guys 6ft plus yet today he lost to ferrer again who is 5ft 9 so when raonic beats ferrer it is only then that we can be sure he has way it takes to be a top top player all the young guns bar dolgo have lost to ferrer so for me ferrer is the acid test

I believe Murray grew up and spent time in Spain training with Nadal back in the day on clay. He is European so his primary surface would be clay. No excuses for Murray other than mentally he doesn't have the belief he can win slams. He says he does but when the opponent is Novak, Nadal, or Fed disbelief sets in but he won't admit that but we all know that's whats running through his head.

Yeah true he went spain when he was young. This does'nt mean he is an expert on clay. His record on clay proves that especially against his other surfaces. Being scottish it's a genetic/cultural tendancy to bottle it. He is not as strong mentally but the pressure on Murray from Britain 2 actually win a slam is massive. Much more than any other top player.
