How many TS you have to hit to activate the skill?
My feeling is after only 2 TS..

I think with evry topspin shot you hit it becomes more accurate and deeper. So shot 5 is better than shot 4 15 better than 14 etc I could be wrong

I think TI makes top spins slightly more effective from the first shot, to then improve them even more in a couple of shots. I think they're better from the first shot because slices with Moriya and his Slice Invasion feels slightly better already from the first shot than without SI. After 5 shots, they feel very effective and precise if I hit good or perfect timing.

I don't think they improve infinitely. I think that after 5-10 shots they hit a roof and stays at their most effective.

Yeah there must be a cap otherwise you'd hit some ridiculous stuff during a 30+ rally.

I think the Invasion and Diesel skills all work in the same way. The mechanics behind them is probably that some invisible points are added to your shots. For example you have TSI and 75/75 wings and with every top spin shot one point is added to your wings until +10 points or so.

I think you are wrong Corbon. It is a nice theory though. It would be cool if it worked this way.

Top spin invasion expands your timing window for top spins shots. Starting from the first shot. So you hitting all top spins better and as you progress and hit a few more - they get slightly better. I don't think they get any better after 3rd shot.

TSI also makes your flat shots worse, by reducing the the timing window. Especially so with Flat Control shots. Unless timed perfectly their are sitters.

There is nothing over-powered in Top Spin shots to me. You just need to make sure when you play TSI that you don't attempt to go short-cross unless you know it will be a winner or a difficult shot. And I would also use flat control cross before Top Spin shot. Top Spin shot is slower and gives enough time for the opponent to reach it most times.

TSI has no other advantages besides increasing the timing window on that particular shot. You can execute the same type of top spins with any player with comparable stroke skills and perfect timing.

That's interesting. Does Slice Invasion and the "Diesels" work the same way?

I am always interested in how games actually work.

I'm not sure Al. The seems to also be better. A player with TI will hit a better topsin shot shot than a player without even if both hit an identical shot.

I think it is in your head :D He hits same shots, they are just easier to hit with that skill because of the larger timing window. Remember, there are a few windows: Too early, Too soon, Good, Perfect. The last two get expanded with the skill. The key is that the "feedback" that tells you which shot you hit is constant. So when playing with some skills like TSI, you can see that the system tells you you are Too Late or Too Early - yet the shots look perfect. Why? ....larger timing windows.

The stuff in my head could bring down governments. You're probably about 72% right on this 1. That still leaves a 28% you're wrong :D

Seems a bit weird that it's only the timing window that improves.. :?
I don't know. You can hit as perfect shots as possible, but still, if you're not in perfect position for the shot, you don't get a "perfect" shot even though your timing is perfect. With TI, SI and SC, it seems that you're able to create much better shots of bad positioning too. If it's only the timing windows that are larger, they have to be veeery large to account for the bad positioning(so if you hit perfect from a bad position with TI/SI/SC, you would get "super-perfect" ), and that don't fit with just having a bigger timing window, because then no matter how bad your timing is, you should be able to come up with decent strokes. Meaning that you would be able to hit decent strokes of very mistimed shots(like when you're waaay "too soon" or really "too late"). However, that is not the case. If you mistime it totally, you don't end up with a half decent shot, you end up with either a unforced or a really bad shot no matter what skills you have. Therefore, if the timing window is larger, you would be getting a "timing-bonus/super perfect" shot if you hit perfect, meaning that your well timed shots with one of these skills are better than well timed shots without. Meaning that you get better shots with the skill, if your timing is somewhat decent. Meaning that you can't make shots like these with coaches who don't have the skill(you can't hit "super-perfects" without one of these skills). Meaning that they aren't fair (especially top spin shots, because they're so effective in the first place).
Does this make any sense to anyone?

My point is, that I don't think it's just the timing window. It seems like a valid idea that it's just the timing that increases. However, I think these skills also help with improving the shots generally. Therefore, often making impossible shots from bad positions/out of position/reach-positions.
