What 2k Sports should keep in the series.

1.Control Shots...they're AWESOME once you master them.
2.Coaches. I love the different setups that are available.
3.Career mode is what I missed from TS3. Nice to see it come back!

What 2k Sports should get rid of in the series.

1.Easy power second serves. Not realistic!
2.Unrealistic speed. Players with 30 to 55 speeds should have a WAY harder time getting to balls.
3. Opponents being allowed to see the numbers you used for your setup. I like being able to see stats but I think the numbers you've placed on OFF,DEF and S&V gives too much away to your opponent in World Tour.

What 2k Sports should add to the series.

1.The option of the two-handed forehand for the women.
1.Female legends such as Graf, Seles, Hingis, Sanchez-Vicario.
3.Better player creator mode. Green lipstick? Purple? And I'm sorry but the African-American female lips are WAY too dark. IMO
4.Four Console doubles!
5.More female pros! So we can eventually have more options for a female pro tour so that EVERYONE doesn't choose Serena!
6.Commentators. This is one of the few reasons why I liked Grand Slam Tennis 2.
7. Wimbledon!

Anyone else have something to add?

Control shots are unrealistic.

I would like your charactet 2 progress the way play and learn skills you use

I.e If you use Inside out shots a lot then your player should learn this skill.
If you take the ball early all the time then SVK etc etc....

Also would like too see a confidence meter where the more perfect timed shots you hit tne better they become and in career mode the confidence builds over the season.

No stats as such. Your style of play determines your stats or maybe more indepth stats I.e

FH Flat
FH topspin, accuracy, power, volley, inside out, etc..

A career mode starting from juniors. Pro active training through your career. You choose what to train.

You could train your FH only in session or you could train on just topspin shots.
Power training could be weightlifting or something similar.

Speed training. Working your way around the court. And so on.

The Career in Topspin is very shallow and needs to have a massive overhaul.
To win is to achieve success. To compete and lose and try again is greatness

Most of this stuff is covered in Tennis Elbow :D
Including 2-handed forehands.

The ultimate player would of course have a two handed forehand and a one handed backhand (the manly backhand).
Amirite?

I want 2 stats: power and speed. Everything else would be up to the player, using a full analog swing system similar to Fight Night 2.

Agree with everything and also add...

1. A player creator like TS3. Maybe make it more realistic and remove the possibility to create a player that weighs like 300 lbs but the one in TS4 has too many limitations.

2. The way you create your player should affect your stats.
Tall players = better serves, smashes and reach but also slower and less efficient half and low-volleys.
Muscular players = more power and stamina, less speed and reflexes.

3. Better career mode. Current one is decent but there's a lot of room for improvements:
-More tournaments and being able to play 2 tournaments per month however playing too many tournaments increases the chance to get injured.
-More tournament rounds (4 Majors, 5 Masters, 6 Grand Slams).
-More upsets. Getting sick of playing Wozniacki in every goddamn semi final and either Serena or Safina in every final. Basically a better ranking fluctuation and more involvement of any CPU player.

4. Doubles need to be revamped completely. With two baseliners and on Profi+ it's almost impossible to win a match because the CPU's reaction time at the net is ridiculous.

5. Definitely female legends like Graf, Navratilova an Evert.

6. I can live without commentators but more umpires would be nice.

7. If they can't name it Wimbledon they should at least call it British Open or something.

---

-Better mixing of stats. For example it's impossible for a baseliner to have high reflex and for a S&V player to have high power. Coaches with lopsided stats (over +15) could be the answer.
-In-game FAQ about what the stats actually do. I don't want formulas but just a rundown what Reflex does for your player for example.
-Definitely would trade control shots for risk shots.

Keep the skills but make more and make it so you can select them. Maybe have one dominant skill and one lesser skill so no one setup becomes overwhelming. Make the game and control more sim and similar to TS3 with a look more similar to Ts4. Multi console doubles as usual. If they update the game do NOT do it in the same retarded fashion that trashed this game.

Also have a lot more variety in creating. In some aspects I feel like they took a step back in this from 3.
Norberto H or bust.

they should copy fight night in terms of customzing gear by allow us to be able to change the colour of raquets and clothing and headbands and bandanas as seperate accessories and not hairstyles. better player animations and everything that makes tennis elbow great like the differernt controls and different online mode e.g. fair mode that has that stats cap

MORE UNFORCED ERRORS. Risk should be back but even in TS3 it was impossible to hit regular shots out. ugh.

Speaking of unforced errors, most of them go out and only like 10% into the net.

Edit: Another important thing, being able to play against your created players controlled by the CPU.
