I reinstalled the whole game, and after putting in the patches I get the same corrupted files error.

Tried both with no success.

Fixed.

ITST Patch V 1.01
Download here:
http://www.photoaday.net/ITST/ITSTPatch3-11-2012.rar

This patch will give you the latest Roster updates and will be working with build 82 - the latest build of the game.

You can either reinstall the whole game, or simply install the update from Mana games website and then install ITST patch. I recommend to just install the Update. This is way faster then going through the whole process.

Let me know if there are problems.

djarvik wrote:This is an "on going" project, so consider everything below as "BETA VERSION". Should anything not work as described - let me know.

What you need:

1. A Full Version of Tennis Elbow 2011
Download here:
http://www.managames.com/Forum/topic15-5863.php
(you must download the full version, not the update patch!)

2. Sam's Pro ATP Patch
Download here:
http://www.managames.com/Forum/topic29-5363.php

3. ITST Patch with players (Version 1.01 3/11/2012)
Download here:
http://www.photoaday.net/ITST/ITSTPatch3-11-2012.rar

Instructions:

1. Install the latest version of the game by following the link above.

2. Download Sam's patch and place all of its contains in your Tennis Elbow main folder. When the system asks if you want to overwrite certain files and folders - say yes.

3. Download ITST Patch and place all of its contains in your Tennis Elbow main folder. Launch the game, go to Misc Options, turn "on"Advanced Options. This should add a smiley face icon to the right menu in the game. Click on it and select: Create New Profile. Type in the name: ITST (all uppercase). On a previous screen turn "on" Select on start up. You are done!

Do I overwrite certain files and folders, again?

If I purchase the full version of the game, can I use the key on my laptop and my computer so that both machines have a full version of the game?

I've asked manutoo the same question and this is the answer I got:

Yes, you can install your Key on several computers without problem, as long as you run the game on only 1 PC at once.

Same Answer to me. I have installed original game in 2 computers, clearly you can't play on 2 computers at the same time

ah ha this patch 1.01 sorted it out the problems, great work Djarvik ... trying the bastards here, I'll start with one of my favourites (as it resembles the kind of tennis I play in my head when I'm on court) Almagro ...

Is ITST planning to go on Elite controls at some point in the future? Now that I have gotten a bit better I understand what tigerofintegrity meant with this post:

tigerofintegrity wrote:In sim controls, it's far too easy to just use acceleration shots all the time and barely make an error but in elite controls, it often forces much more variety since you don't want to always risk missing. I'm afraid if we use sim over elite we'll only see acceleration shots and lose all the shot variety in the game like playing mostly with top spin in a critical point you really don't want to make an error on.

I've played a match as Stepanek against Federer on Pro 5/Sim/Slow/No Previews -- won 6-4 with 26 winners to 7 errors, 0/0 net points won. So many times I wasn't even positioned well and still hit a winner, whereas on Elite controls it would have been an error. Especially playing inside the baseline is quite a bit (maybe even a lot) easier than with Elite controls. Or having just little worries to accelerate when the return hits the line. The way I see it, Sim controls take away variety and reward for hitting great shots.

As I mentioned earlier, we need to make the tour accessible. Once we have solid draws, we may consider shifting Controls to Elite on higher level tournaments, for example in ATP500 an up. We need to be accessible to new players...

Another thing to consider is online play. It varies drastically from playing AI. I suggest all of you play a good amount of online matches to get a feel.

As for accelerations, if you know how to hit counter shots with b1, then you should be able to pick apart anyone who constantly hits accelerations. Counter shots are deeper and you can pull them off better on the run. Playing against AI you don't feel it, as AI will mix it up a lot, but playing against a person, who "wants" to hit accelerations all the time, you should be able to counter him and make him cough up a short ball or an error.

I understand this point and the idea of different controls for tournaments of different quality sounds good.

This is the next step, sure, but I remember tigerofintegrity mentioning that many players online mainly hit accelerations.

Playing accelerations constantly isn't a good tactic, be it with Sim or Elite controls. Playing them constantly will -- as you said -- at some point during the rally result in some short ball for the opponent. What annoys me is that it is possible to hit them almost all the time and they don't go out unless you go too wide on the sides (on Sim controls). On Elite you are directly punished for choosing to accelerate when you shouldn't accelerate.

The conditions are the same for both players. It's not like having Sim controls suddenly gives one player more advantages than others.

I think it's a great idea to stick with Sim, there are three options. Arcade is too realistic and would make everyone's gameplans far too similar, and Elite is far too difficult to allow new players to have a go at the game. Why pick one of the extremes when there is a choice right in the middle?
