Postby Tamthewasp » Thu, 20 Oct 2011 15:37

Hey guys need some help.

I bought a new slim ps3 got a new pad with it. The problem is my old pad wont assign to the console it just flashes red on all 4 player lights.
Ive tried using the new wires/ old wires too assign but nothing works.
So i have basically went from 2 pads to 1.
Would appreciate any help here lads

Was your old pad a third party controller? If not then there is a reset button at the back of the remote( sixaxis) use a thin pin to press it.. It will reset your controller then press ps button.. Hope it helps..

Tam i would get this all the time with my controllers when changing rooms or giving/lending others my PS3 wen on holiday or elsewhere for a while,

aslong as you connect it by the cord so the PS3 recognises it again, as your MAIN controller (Player 1/ P1) your fine for it to continue.

the main way of losing controller connectivity is when it's been off from the mains..., like not on standby... just need to hook it up again.

i also have an unravelled paper clip for the reset button on the back when it acts like a tit lol.. but it is mainly down to the PS3 losing power and forgetting settings as the controller still has the charge and remembers..!

i know this for a fact as he/it was telling me about all the durty hussies yooh had in you room last night whilst you went raj with the noo SlimBoy lol...

I switched to the right HDMI entree and than the controller worked

don´t know why but my contropller didn´t started , but this was the point why my controller couldn´t connect to my box .
