I love tennis

yip a good advert for tennis-both Nole and Sam deserved their titles

Yep! The score doesn't reflect the intensity and the level of the match! It was sometimes an insane level!!... Hitting very strong and "soon"!!! Awesome!!

And Nole is doing something really big since end of last year and the Davis Cup!

(And Roger seems to be the only one to stop him, how about that! :P )

I am so delighted Novak won this an convincinly in the end , it proves how good he is now , a few yrs ago he couldnt close out some matches but that 4th set he just decided he was doing it , if he hadnt run into federer at the french open ( who was playing amazing that day ) i reckon he wouldve had the grand slam but we will never know but one thing for sure is , the guy is simply incredibile, and was a good match :)

If the schedule hadn't allowed for a break between the semis and finals this level probably would not have happened. Reason enough for the USTA to rethink Super Saturday.

Since it was a Fed less final , i didn't watch it especially because Roger HAD TO BE there in final.
1-he had the chance, not chance actually, HE HAD the match with 2 MPs
2-I wanted to see a Fed vs Nadal match in USO
so i was annoyed enough not to watch it, last 3 years of USO were really bad for me.
saw the highlight and stuff, the match was great, obviously the reviews shows that as well, but the best tennis in recent history for ME, is Federer vs Nadal Rome 2006 or Wimbledon finals.
Djokovic vs Nadal just get physical t an unblievable level, but Fed vs Nadal is in another class generally.

it was a great match but at what cost is this why they slowed down the courts?. I enjoyed the match but the more matches they have like that the shorter their careers maybe. I how sour will both guys be in the morning and how will nadal get up for Davis cup

true but something tells me they may not be in hurry speed them up next year after that match i mean a slightly quicker court will mean some of those amazing rallys will be shorter and is this what the organizers want i certainly dont think but i guess we will find out next year

I don't know the small details in the rules.. but how was Djokovic allowed to take medical time out at 1-0.... Worse of all, it was Nadal to serve! I don't like that at all, it's tactical.

Sure, he body was falling to pieces, but then he would have taken medical at 0-0 4th set?

Thanks for the translation in what Rafa said Moralspain. Must be hard to concentrate after that point... Nevertheless, Rafa, a true sportsman that he is will be the first to admit he lost to a better player on the day.

Hope Rafa now figures out a better way to face Djokovic, cos that 3rd set, he had him with the aggressive style of play

Tactical?: yes
Affected Rafa? yes
Illegal?: No, i don't think so.

about the translation i forgot something:

"Cuando vas ganado no te duele, hay que tener modales, pero me da igual, yo sigo aquí luchando", more or less what i posted yesterday, he said this in loud, and clearly speaking to Novak.

"When you're winning you don't have pain, you have to have good "manners"!, but i don't care, i'm still here, fighting"

anyway Djokovic was better yesterday, tennis is that simple, 3 sets to 1, end of story. truth is that Nadal was a bit close this time, and played better than him the 3rd, it's a good sign.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.
