Postby Q8-AWESOME_95 » Thu, 01 Sep 2011 01:39

my player has a drop shot artist skills , and i play a match in us open , and i beat Oshiee who has 98 power and 98 serve , in the middle of the match he stopped and send a message to me , he said that drop shotting excessively is not allowed and standing out wide to serve also not allowed , i think its allowed because i read all the rules and the faqs , and they didnt say thats is not allowed , i think because he lost he said something like that , and he said that i play cheezy , i told him i sware iam not playing cheezy .

standing out wide to serve or ´´tramilene`` serving is cheesy.

Now the dropshots are a tricky matter because sometimes hard-hitters stay 10 feet behind the baseline so u do a slice or a dropshot and they call u cheesy, i think that like 3-4 drops a set arent cheesy if u have that skill.

I think that 15 drop shots a set aren't cheesy.
But this was like 3-4 drop shots in almost every single one of his service games. And even more than that in close games.
And in the 1st set tb alone he hit around 4 drop shots and 2 glitch returns. Oh and a couple zps.

And my favorite? The glitch return followed by the drop shot. :D

So, you continued to stand wide while serving?

Everything oshiee said is correct. You can either replay the match, or oshiee will win by walkover.

Drop shots are fine, as long as they are done within reason. Use them when you have pushed your opponent behind the baseline, when you are inside the baseline, or you can use them occasionally as a surprise tactic.

Standing wide to serve is never allowed, and neither are the glitch returns that force your opponent to backup to return the next ball.

You can read everything you need to know about cheese here:

It's ok if you did not know. But now you do, so please replay the match and follow our rules.

I'll let you guys continue to settle this between yourselves, but I think it is best if you replay the match.
