question

are the cheese stuff completely excluded???

like you cant use drops or slice wide server???

if so, its a dream come true.
the wide serve is a legal serve in tennis so why should it be banned all shot the drop shot too all the tour really needs is people to use their discretion to work out when they are abusing drop shots. i guess fed abuses the drop shot too right ?

Djarvik- If you're scrambling to get a ball back and want to just get your racquet in the way is a control/normal forehand slice OK or is that still a no?

I like everything except the strange bit about 'forehand power slices', I think that's over-the-top, that opens up a whole world of possibilities for people to feel justified in quitting matches early. I hit a forehand slice like 2 out of every 10 forehands I get simply because I like changing it up and I actually do hit forehand slices in real life every now and then, especially on really high bouncing balls.

I guess part of making everybody happy is making people happy who don't even know what they want or why they want it. So I understand why you guys made that rule I just think it's weird.

The thing about FH slices is that sometimmes i use it to charge the net......is that cheesy? Even Federer does it sometimes.

It's a defensive shot??

That shows how inundated we all are with 'power' tennis.

Slices can be defensive but they can also be offensive...have you ever played somebody IRL with a truly nasty slice?? They make you miss.

Anyways I don't wanna make a big deal out of it cuz it's not, I just think it's unnecessary!!

Personally I have played a lot of guys who hit those forehand slices and YEAH I think it's stupid as hell when that's all you do but I have never thought "there needs to be a rule banning this". Honestly I don't know if any of those guys have ever actually hit a winner against me with the slice, I like to think I cover the court too well for that to happen.

First of all, i wanted to thank ITST for bringing the SIM Tour. thanks guys for all the time and energy you've spent .
...
about the players, im afraid i can't find a decent all arounder. maybe cause its new and im not used to it but i think there is no a good all arounder like Fed stats or atleast somewhere around it. i mean im not worried anymore for power or backhand low stats cause in sim tour, my opponent will have his problems with low stats too, which is great , but the problem is the entertaining part, if all your shots land in middle of the court or they are weak or your stamina finish in a few games, it wont be fun...but im gonna wait and play the sim to see how it goes exactly.

I agree. It gives a problem with pre-pressing. When you pre-press a power slice you don't know if the ball is going to go to your FH or BH. So if your opponent hits to your BH your shot will be ok, but if your opponent hits to your FH your shot is cheesy...

But I also like to stress: The above is just a detail. I am hugely looking forward to the SIM tour. Thanks a lot for setting it up.
