2k open ELO ranking system

Postby ray237 » Sun, 24 Jul 2011 16:44

As the title says, how about proposing to adopt an ELO ranking system in 2k open? I think the actual system is one of the worst i've ever seen, cause it's annoying (only achieving 3 points every match won, just farm a lot with no brain to reach high ranking).
This is a huge waste, because all pro character are perfectly developed and balanced.
I think that starting a sort of petition can make the 2k think about this game mode, with a very high fun potential wasted.
Every time i play 2k open, i find noob players easy to beat, but i've noticed that the pros are very well developed (so much better than the created ones), and that there aren't so much easy ways to close the point (instead of 80+ power created char in wt and also in itst).
I'm sure the 2k will catch such a chance to greatly and easily improve its game (i think introducing a good ELO system with a good matchmaking isn't too hard).
Does anyone agree? :!:

Your right, the 2k open ranking system is very flawed, winning or losing means nothing. I'd love to see a better ranking system, but I don't think 2k will change it.

this change can also improve the online longevity of the game, because the wt (unless re-played with different setups) offers a limited number of matches every week, and itst is great but of course you rarely play more than one match a day. Thanks to the ELO system, a player can play lots of matches trying to improve its own elo rating.

Yeah a ELO ranking would be much better, and much more motivating !
Currently we play against opponent of different levels, and game are often boring...

I swear I have actually quit a few matches where I was beating somebody without losing a single point. It gets really old playing noobs all the time.

A popular American TV show from the 90's called "Married With Children".

Perhaps you've heard of it and I sound stupid but I never know what you guys have heard of over there, and what you haven't.

I was raised by watching "Married with Children". Its why i have such a healthy view on women in general.
