Shot Styles

Postby trulyinfemous » Tue, 26 Jul 2011 01:59

I find that Nadal's shot style, forehand number 1, is most effective with regards to angle and power and dealing with lower shots.

is there any merit to this or am I going nuts?

Anyone else think certain shot styles have hidden merits?

Probably the choice of the swing style can have some responses on the timing, but not on the quality of the stroke, cause, of course, there would be an indication with the stats of each style (power, precision, etc.).
Of course, the serve style choice is important: it must fit your game style, because some serves have a faster execution than others, so this affects the time you spend aiming the serve.
