I also doubt those drop shots are entirely 100% on purpose.

Though I have seen the shots that supinesmokey is talking about

Agreed. Some of them are shanks and some are failed slices. I am actually quite sure of that.

I am always keen to play an exhibition match as I feel my tournament results are improving slightly for the extra match practise. I am a S and V style player, a keen tennis enthusiast and I enjoy playing for the enjoyment of the game. I have a friend I play with, who has a decent FH but a pretty poor BH, and basically any time he tries to hit a BH slice he hits what is basically a drop shot cuz he does not hit through the ball, at all. They're annoying...the only reason they're no problem for the pros, I think, is cuz they move so much better than any amateur player.

Thats true, I remember someone saying that feds BH shanksdecline are due to the age taking the toll on movement, not the actual shot.

Just played mr berson. He beat me as usual 6-4 6-2. The 1st set was awesome. We both had eachother on our heels. I just couldn't capitalize

Yes the 1st set was superb , You have a break point for come back at 5-5 and I hit the net unlucky :lol:

if you watch the delpo match you'll see him hit one by mistake then he hits one on purpose on the next point but your right most of them where intended to be short slices.

wrong fed's Racquet is designed to reward him with precision but he must hit the ball in the center of the racquet due fed's racquet-head speed hitting the ball with the frame or near it causes shanks that's why people are suggesting a larger racquet head. but fed is a homage to the old school with a smaller racquet head
