Official Cheese list that won't be prohibited.

Postby MrMackNasty » Wed, 06 Jul 2011 07:16

I really feel like there should be a rule section on all the cheese so newcomers can read it and figure out what ITST is all about (fair play). In my futures tourney I won both my matches but all they did was tramline serve with 100power lol. I'm not complaining obviously because I won both the matches.

I just feel like djarvik or slicer or any other manager should post a list or have a sticky thread with a list of all the cheesy tatics in this game that aren't prohibited.

With all these newcomers coming in(which there is a ton of). I feel they should be aware of these tactics that aren't prohibited in ITST matches.

I'm not complaining or anything I just feel like it would be a great idea to have them read over them. That way when they play they are fully aware of whats right and whats wrong.

No. Im saying put it in the rules or something so everyone is aware. Or have a locked sticky thread that has a full list that the majority of the community agrees on.

good idea that we get along? Or good idea that people have to read a list of what not to do in a match. Every knew guy I play tramlines or drop shots every rally lol. No big deal they are new but we need some sort of guideline so ALL players know how to play ITST matches fairly. Isn't that what ITST is all about?

Its good and i agree with you, the point and beauty of playing tennis(video game) is to feel like a real player and thats not gonna happen if you start playing unreal stuff such as over using of drop shots or having 100 on any of stats BUT you can't make rules like..dont over use drop shots, dont get 100 on any stat. don't hit power shot all the time..etc..i dont see it possible.
people are supposed to know and understand the point of this game by themselves, its not gonna work with rules IMO. there will be so many other troubles.

This.

I find power and hard serving easier to counter now. It's defensive baseliners that really give the trouble :x

Lol or just do what I am doing. Quit and walk away. While this is a very fun game I do not enjoy playing matches when you know your opponets set up is one sided examples 17 on offenese 3 on defense or even set ups like 13&7. I'm not complaning just reconginzing. I strongly dislike it and I would rather play with a well balanced player and others than a racket swinging tall raging bull and are most people 6'2 ??? I will never get it. Good luck boys :) I tried but yeah .....

well, anyone who joins ITST should understand that we're here for the spirit of the game and for fair play. if you encounter someone who uses "cheese tactics" such as tramline serving or 100 power you should send them a polite PM reminding them what ITST is all about. if they refuse to acknowledge or change their ways make a host aware of this situation and they will address it.
it's great that we have a big influx of new players (me amongst them). but with the good comes the bad as well. right now we're in the process of weeding out the bad seeds to eventually remain with the good ones. and by good ones i mean those of us who want to play fairly and respectfully, trying to imitate real life tennis while acknowledging that this is a video game.

i believe in ITST the desire to play an enjoyable, challenging match superseeds the need to win.
