Well, I'd like to play someone who is good from the baseline to see how effective S&V really is.

About 3 nights ago I started playing WT seriously for the first time, trying out the S&V setup Joker FR uses. So far, I haven't lost a match, but I haven't played anyone who seems they have any idea what they're doing either.

Whenever you see me on, just send me a message. I'm always up for a match.

BTW: I assume most of the "S&V is too strong" opinions come from playing WT. What about full 3 or 5 set matches? When a S&V player's stamina gets low, they're very vulnerable.

ive lost to one S&V on WT. I've never played one on ITST. The guy was like level 30, and he beat me 4-2. His power was like 45 or somethin, real fast tho. His approach shots were extremely slow, but he was very skilled, knew the angles of the game.

I use a power player, so my remedy for a S&V is the same as my remedy for every other style, hit through it  . Seriously though, it's not overpowered. Annoying to play against, but certainly not overpowered.

I played some World Tour matches today, and now I see what people mean by long rallies and unrealistic tennis (people with 100 power and 43 speed). IMO, 2K open (pro vs. pro) is so much better than the world tour tournaments. All the players are pretty much equally balanced and don't have to worry about who their coach is or anything. Best mode in the game IMO!! I must say though, tournaments in this mode would make it even better!

I agree about 2K Open, nothing but fun for me...I think in addition to tournaments they could have had a more sophisticated ranking system for 2K Open..as it is now it's just a measure of who plays the game the most, not who the best player is...the 'top players' in 2k open are a joke, I demolished a 'Top 5' guy last week and won literally 3 times as many points as he did in the match. That shouldn't happen ever...

yes...that's why i never played ITST & world tour so far. When i played TS3 it's more than enough to play with a monster who has 100 serve & 9x power...8X forehand....
But now as PS3 2K server is almost "dead"...i can't search player online anymore so i come back and try to beat the monster again

PS. Game on everyone....stop moaning, find a way to overcome your difficulties & just play!

That's the point!!! You got it!!

When the patch came out, i first tried it Offline...

Before the patch i won easily in Very Hard difficulty, and also on Expert but with more difficulties...

After the patch i lost 4 consecutive games against Murray!!! I practiced a little bit, and now i win matches like before.

It's only practicing a little ;) (not too much for me, i don't become a nerd after the patch lol)

It seems that Murray is quite over powered. I just can't win against him, even on hard. Before the patch I could beat the pros (especially Murray which made me happy since its Murray) most of the time on very hard. After the patch - no luck against Murray in many attempts (has made me really upset since its Murray) but beat Nadal 6-1, 6-2 and Djokovic pretty easy too. So the AI difficulty is too uneaven.

Otherwise I have swung around and I am starting to like the patch. Still would like a small step backwards in the next update but overall its ok now that I have played alot.

I think it's over powered in that a noob can pick it up and use it to challenge players who are better than them. Not as bad TI/MD but still unbalanced. I played a serve and volley guy who was clearly a noob and what should've been a 30 30 beat down ended up being 31 42 cuz he was a serve and volley player. I knew he was a noob cuz anytime there was a rally he sprayed the ball cuz he was clearly just holding the flat shot as long as possible. My biggest complaint is how easy it is to hit a volley regardless of timing or ability.

And for the thread topic I like the update but I still wish they would fix world tour. But at least they balanced TI/MD. After the update it's very clear how overpowered that setup was. And I think the reason a lot of people are complaining about excessive errors is because they relied on TI and didn't bother with timing at all, they just held O all the time and were rewarded with ridiculous shots. I'd say I hit about the same amount of errors now as I did before and when I do hit errors it's usually because the ball is much deeper/shorter/slower, etc than I was expecting it to be or I'm really out of position.

I'm just gonna say it, this game's been ruined.

I can't see myself really getting into this game again, the patch has effectively sucked the fun out of it.

Yeah, I'm generally not too happy about the patch, just because it made playing against the computer a lot harder, since they can now hit the angles a lot easier than you can. As far as online, meh, I dunno.
