When was the game better

Postby Hollaa Itz Mike » Sun, 19 Jun 2011 07:07

I really wish people would not have complained so much when the game came out. The list of things that we sent in for them to fix was a terrible idea IMO....no game is going to be perfect. The game is ruined

The game is honestly close to unplayable for me at this point. The other day i had a 107 ball rally. There are no setups that give u 80+ fh/bh and 70+ power.
People saying that a character with 80+ fh/bh and 70+ power is unrealistic are clueless.. the ATP tour is filled at the top with unbelievable baseliners. It is not even a matter of me having success. I am still winning most of my matches, im just no having fun doing it.

the game has honestly went from my favorite game to something i stick in once a week, its a shame.

i hope next time people enjoy the game for what it is and leave it the hell alone

i will probably play wimbeldon and davis cup and then retire unless an update is made fixing some of the problems.

Have you seen this thread?

I think it's pretty clear 2K is still working on it.

Hey Mike try this set-up, 2-13-5 semi-volley king/countershot; I dominated with this configuration today in 20 matches I went undefeated and only lost 5 game total it has 84 power decent speed, strokes and reflexes; it's strong on return and serve and can take the ball on the rise to take time away from your opponent and short angles can still be had. Granted your the number 1 player and surely know more then me about this game me. I like it and it's a legal set-up.

your right their are plenty baseliners on the atp tour but they make errors if they look to unload on every shot prepatch this was not reflected in the game .you could hit winner after winner and no errors and that has been fixed .now lets wait and see how 2k address the current issues as the game will continually be updated have patience and have faith that 2k wil make this game balanced for all styles not sv,ofb,or dfb or all round but all styles as that was wat the games was supposed to be all styles equal in effectiveness when used right.

You know I've heard of developers making patches for bugs... problems with the game.

But this is the first game I've owned where they made patches because this group or that decided the game wasn't fair or whatever.

Now they might patch it AGAIN?

I tell you from a pure business point of view I just don't get it.

1. They release the game and get great reviews so lots of folks buy it.
2. They change the game (patch it if you like) and lots of folks who bought it are now pissed off because it's not the game they purchased on aforementioned reviews.
3. They spend more time and money to change the game from a game that had already sold quite well... to then piss off future customers and spend money developing a "patch" to do it.

4. NOW they might spend even more time and money changing the game AGAIN??

I agree with the OP this game went from one that I played every day to one that I MIGHT stick in every now and again. And then when I play it for five minutes I realize AGAIN why I don't play it anymore.... just not fun.

Good luck 2k, you certainly will need it especially if you decide to release another TopSpin game... I think you've successfully alienated a lot of your future customers... and spent what I would guess is a lot of money doing it?

just by checking the votes it seems the patch has made people happier.
Opinions are like assholes...everyone has one, my opinion?....the game is now better.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Same here. In fact, I have the data to prove that it is better :P

We have more sign ups, the polls are positive, the 2K tells me they are happy with the outcome, there are more players online then ever.

2K also informed me that there will be more updates coming and that they are here to support the product, since this seem to be generating more buying interest.

All signs are positive. Of course some people will never be happy.

Personally, I now know that I WILL buy another 2K product. This is the first time they actually stand by it and update it (TS). I am actually willing to pre-order TS5 now!
