I'm not going to name any names but a friend of mine recently had an itst match and his opponent (who is knwon for being a "fair" player and is quite good at compaining) went into the game room with a particular setup....then after he saw my friends setup he said that he needed time to build a new player and would play the mtch later. Then he went into my friends room later with the same setup as my friend....is this not against the rules?

If it is not I don't quite understand

If its not against the rules then every single mtch u could look at what ur opponent is using and then switch to a setup that counters it...

What I have found in my time here during topsin 4 is that many of the ppl who complain the most end up being the most cheap players...and its really annoying

That would be me. Might as well point the finger. I am still glad I created an instant rocket crushing passing setup that matched his.I asked other members what to use and they pointed me towards the 13 off 7 def setup (that was days ago and Kebab specifically give me a similar setup to try). I did not copy his stats specifically...just followed the general trend.

Recently I have lost a fair amount of matches because I went in with the wrong type of character and was blown away by guys that had more power than me.I understand your concerns anyway... I had my doubts that he was going to use that setup. I guess I should have asked him via pm before the match...would have saved me the hassle.

To be fair I recall a few recent posts when you have done your fair amount of "complaining". Don't really get it. Let's leave it at that or pm me.

Lets get one thing clear from the out set - Puttu is a very fair player and is one of the many players who is the heart of ITST. Puttu, like myself, are from the school of SIM and whilst SIM does not exist in TS4 at the moment which I appreciate I completely understand the action Puttu took.

On the surface I can see how some members may view this as a bit low, however if one digs a little deeper the rationale behind it is there. Quite simply whilst we all play for fun a good majority of us also play to have a chance of winning (except Moralspain (Xavi) perhaps ). It is not against the rules to do this but also I expect that Puttu would not take this action again in that he will ensure he has a setup to handle / match others going forward. What would of been bad sportsmanship would of been to enter the match then quit after a few games asking to use another player - that I don't agree with and that didn't happen.

As far as "complaining goes" - yes we all discuss topics and issues at times and members who are passionate about the Topspin and ITST will say what they believe.

However what I have seen a lot lately his members with very big egos and poor sportsmanship. If I am honest, a good few members in the Top 10 from my experience have not been conducting themselves any where near like what I am used to in my TS3 days. If I look back at the likes of Noberto, Iluvbillval, Puttu, Djarvik, Amazing Zizou and others there was a great deal of mutual respect and at the moment I feel like that is missing.

Lets put it this way - after the influx of new members since TS4 opened we have all been privy to a number of members being banned, their conduct was simply unacceptable from the evidence on the forum. However the greater ITST community are not these people so I reckon we all just need to have a little bit more respect for one another. Don't get me wrong, if someone has a opinion on something or his getting ahead of themselves I will be first to stand up if I don't agree but we can start by doing simple things like:

1) Not starting a thread about a particular incident or a fellow member - if it is that serious PM the host or each other (I have been guilty of this once about a year ago so hey, we are all human)

2) Show some respect to your opponent after the match - just because you are on XBL messaging does not mean a member should abuse it because of no trace of what was said (unlike a PM).

Everybody can see the rationale behind it, that's not the problem...it's more of a 'fair to everybody' rule. If you let one guy do this then what is stopping lots of others, in the future, from thinking they can go into the lobby with 1 character and change it if they 'picked the wrong one'.

I say, 'TOO BAD', you shouldn't pick a character that you think might have some huge disadvantage against a certain kind of character.

Once again no offense to anybody, it's not like I think this is some terrible act, I just don't think it should be legal

i really respect puttu puttu as a fair player and a well respected ITST member .
but ,i find this is not correct,you can´t fix a matchtermin ,than you come in to play,you see the stats from opponent and than you go out to switch your player .

so far i know there is no rule in TS 4 where forbidden this ,but this is a ""no go "" in my opinion
it smells little cheese.to come in the lobby to look where are the weak points from my opponent .
than to go out to change to a player where can attack this weak points .

plus when i remember right ,in TS3 this was forbidden :esspecially in SIM modus

mean you have time before the match starts to think about which player you use-

than you have to wait 2 hours and the match never starts . because one player have to go ,to sleep, to work, to give his dog a shower .

So let's get this straight... it's okay to call out other itst members as long as you don't mention their name? Whether you mention my name or not is BS... From reading the post I had enough information to know that it was somewhat directed at me... I rather you mention my name instead of passively insulting me like that.

I mean I understand your argument about me changing my character. I should have known and prepared the character in advance. That's my bad.

But for me you making this post is cheap and low. I have no doubts that you are very good at this game and that you deserve your number one spot . However,I can't see you getting much respect from other members.Your attitude doesn't cut it.

I know puttu puttu is a very fair player, and i have nothing against him whatsoever. However, I dont think this was very sportsman like. If I used to play a TI/MD guy, I never just went and made one for mysself as well. And if other ppl start doing it, this will suck. Again, nothing against puttu puttu, but Ido not like this at all, and think it should be banned.

Mike you do have a sly way of trying to make people look stupid. Puttu is not attacking you in anyway Read all of the above posts and reconsider whether any of what has been said is even the slightest aggressive.

Perhaps yes it was not the best tack from Puttu and like I said I am confident it will not happen again but what is more frustrating is the manner in which you conduct yourself on the forum - whether you mean to or not you come across as patronizing, big headed and quite immature at times. And yes, I will back up someone like this because he has peoples respect which has been earned. Your "goal" would be much better received if it had been delivered in a more grown up way.

So enough with all the 'lol' on every post you make and try and discuss rather than try to humiliate people because believe you me I have enough ammunition to dish out exactly the same to you from what I have seen so far.

honestly baghdad shut up man...my original post was not rude at all, and you and puttu puttu must have a love interest going on or something, o wait never mind its just MUTUAL RESPECT on a VIDEO GAME. yes, puttu puttu, knows that i was takling about him, as he should, it was a cheap thing to do for a player who has built up so much RESPECT on a VIDEO GAME...but NO, no one else knew that i was takling about him so i dont see how i am atacking him, it was his choice to say that it was him who did it

..i could care less if u stick together or say i am immature....go for it dude, its a video game. this game means nothing to me and its funny to me how seriously u take it. i enjoy playing on this website but its not my life . i for one play REAL tennis and teach at a club, i guarantee i know a hell of a lot more about it than you, which is why i think its funny when u guys have your "sim" talks because most of the stuff u propose is completely ridiculous.

get over yourselves and taking the high road, its a video game man, really.
