Played him in WT...

He broke me on my first serve then he won his serve.
At 0-2 I won my serve easily.

Finally he won the match.

Played him a second time and he won the match 3-0.

Well, he plays well, obviously, but I do think he can be beated.

Tell me then how can you counter his 100 serve after the patch? Its impossible to make a return ace. You can win some few points but not many. Especially if you go to tie break like me...Slices in center or lobs are almost impossible to pass him...SV players have the advantage now if the player is experienced like many of us in ITST

Very very difficult. I can make a sv player like him but i will lose my stats on world tour and start from zero...

I know that i can't beat him and that i can't beat you either ( ;) )
Plus on wt it seems impossible (too short) but on itst i think some good players can.

S&v is so difficult to play that they deserve some power.
We need to learn some tricks against them but once again that's just the feeling of an average player :)

I just want to say that Vincent (J0KER) is a top class player. He was great in TS3 and is great in TS4. Extremly good at preety much every style.

Before deeming anything cheesy, you need to be able to recreate that "cheese" with similar results.

it take some skill to be a good serve volleyer in this game .and. it is not cheesy though diesel server is a tough skill to overcome when backed-up by 90+ serve stat but as always with this game patch no patch if you are a better player and play better at the time you will beat them regardless of skill or coach. I beat a few TSI/MD guys b4 patch as serve volleyer simply because I was a better player ,if you lose to a serve volleyer you lost because he or she was better and it is up to you find find counters Sv is a legitimate way of playing deal with it.

I am pretty pants to be honest. In all the SV matches i played on TS3 i only lost three times, i even beat alex in a SV match! So i'd say i was one of the better SV players on Ts3 on the ps3, but argh it just inst quite clicking for me. I think my serve and movement let me down largely.

I just played my first set of games since the update. The first few games took a little adjustment in getting comfortable to the slower speed but then i was rolling like usual. Here are my thought pertaning to the update; Pros: the angles of attack are much better, this improves tactics and allows more divers play. The player updates: no longer is ti/md the dominant set up :). Returns are easier and the wide slice is not cheesy anymore. Cons: Points occasionally are too long due to the slower ball speed. Serve and volley just became the new dominant set up because of the slower speed. Flat shots are now less effective which means nobody will use them this inturn renders and counter shot player useless. Improvements that I would recommend: increase ball speed or slow down the players to shorten the points. Improve the angle on flat power shots or increase its ball flight or the placement near the lines, this would improve attacking. Make serving easier, right now its almost impossible to hit the lines and it never happen twice in a row, this would also improve the flow of the game. The returns are improved so now the serve is pretty weak. I personally have no problem ever returning serve, which is kinda lame. Lastly unbann the coaches they are all pretty mediocer now and really can't dominant like they used too. Thank for the update and always striving for perfection.

[/quote] it's a shame not everyone likes the patch im someone has started a pettion for a buy back saying the game is bad saying it was perfect b4 any of the updates but i hope 2K wont budge cos they know no matter what the majority of the itst are loyal customers who will support their game. it seems the casual players loved how you could exploxit the many flaws in the game and be 'good' at ts4 with no real skill or expertise just abuse that pjq lady, and various other flaws and not realise wat 2k's end goal was. to recreate ts3 but make the game more accessible to casual gamers and they did that but lost the high skill factor so prominent in ts3 was lost .The updates were suppose to restore that mastery to seperate bad from good players and the good from the great. this why no matter what we need to support 2k sports so they have good reason to focus on what we the hardcore supporters of their game like and not be to consumed simply with making a fast buck. Personally i want a game that suits everyones taste but you cant please everyone.

So i'm back on a losing streak after this update. For some reason I cannot hit any winners on full power perfect shots or perfect control shots. I'm pretty sure my positioning's right when i start swinging. Is there anything else I should be trying?

learn how finish points at net serve volley is the dominant style as passing shots are hard and balls are slowed and easier to volley .so in order to end points easier and quicker learn to volley.

Just had a game on ITST on grass against a good defender, it was hard to hit winners, but i managed to score a lot of them, find the lines etc.

My opponent made less errors (7 in 2 sets), and me 12, but at the end I finally win.

Even if it's can be frustrating to see the ball coming back and back, i feel it's funnier, because now there are rallys !

Playing for the first time after the balancing update against CPU on very hard and it sucks that CPU still makes no UEs. Versus Murray in 1 set 22 winners/1 UE and still able to hit those crazy angles.

Perfect fullpower shot and it barely gets past the service box. Maybe I'm just not understanding the new timing :b
