Changing Players Mid-Tourney

Postby Julius Jackson » Tue, 31 May 2011 09:56

should it not be a rule that only 1 player may be used for the duration of a single tourney? ive encountered this a couple times already, where a match disconnected or lagged out...then the opponent would come back with a new player for the restart (and one that was a perfect counter for my player )

changing players mid-tourney should be banned. because it is rather easy to "scout" who someone else uses...and then use the perfect counter...

any thoughts?

At least I thing it has to be prohibited to change player when you restart a match. :?

It should be a rule that if the match disconnects and you have to start again you MUST use the same player, that's only fair.
However, what are the chances that they have another player to counter your player? The odds are little.
I think people tend to use players that are good all-around now though instead of having just an A game, if theyre down they can kick in their B game and try different tactics.

It is already a rule of course. When you get disconnected you need to use the same character. Though i guess it is not mentioned specifically in the rules. Ill make sure it gets added.

I think monitoring whether or not someone uses the same player for an entire tournament is gonna be quite hard. Not impossible with some additions to the website though. But in practice i doubt anyone is going to take the time to double check their opponents stats.

i dunno, guys. its pretty easy to change your coach. some people have unlocked all their gold coaches so they can pick and choose between them...

just wish 2k didnt put the dumb abilities in. the entire gm revolves around what stupid coach u choose :x

if your referring to me doing it that has been the only time i did it and i had too after all you were simply exploiting the games flaws with your setup how am suppossed to compete with 91 serve and 100 power

i mean i'll admit i did it but the current rules have not fully addressed the imbalance in the gameplay when a play has a fair setup that is not overpowered and not designed to take advantages of the flaws in the game what i did to julius jackson will happen less often i must say though julius isnt a bad player i felt lost mostly because of the 100 power and 91 serve combo seen as on clay you have more time to trackdown balls. i would like to ask you if 91 on serve and 100 power are not banned does that make them fair ? cos julius thinks so
