Thought for sim tour

Postby diesel501 » Sun, 29 May 2011 11:49

Why not only use silver or bronze coaches? Just an idea thought I'd throw it out there. Not even sure if someone's suggested it already.

Also it saves creating different set ups you can use your same character in both tours if you wish just by changing coach.

Give examples of the strongest players you can make with Silver coaches. This is truly the right way to explore.

As I see it, there is no one area extremely overpowered in TS4 as it was in TS3. So the SIM tour needs not only do make the stats "realistic" but also provide more variety then the current tour.

If not, you will end up in the same place just with Silver coaches.

I am afraid (or happy) that the only way to make a viable tour is to do what we did in TS3. This way we are going to be dealing with "overpowered" or "underpowered" player, rather then a whole roster or a set of rules that never quite hits the spot.

That sounds like a great idea. I agree that the only real way to make stats play evenly is by having a set roster.

So yes! for it*

Good idea for silver coatches. Hope a SIM tour will born soon. Maybe a roster of SIM player like for TS3 SIM tour would be great also.

I'm not sure I believe a SIM tour makes much sense on TS4.

On TS3, the SIM tour was more sim-like because you had to take risks to be aggressive. It helped defensive players because they could try to run everything down and be consistent, making the offensive player miss more often. It created a balance between offensive and defensive styles because offensive players were forced to take chances.

On TS4, there's no way to make aggressive play risky. All you could really hope to do is balance the different play styles by limiting the stats on the stronger styles - which is something I believe makes just as much sense on the regular tour.

why not rob?
mean you right ,the riskgameplay and 90-40 aspect didn´t exist in TS 4

i think we can make a normal tour and a simtour

normaltour :all coaches and setups are allowed

simtour : goldcoaches plus a few setups are generelly banned

so we would have 2 completly different tours .

But that's just a slower version of the regular tour. On TS1 and TS3, the SIM and regular tours were very different from the SIM tours, requiring different strategies and skills.

You didn't believe in a sim tour for ts3 at the time. But that worked out great. Trust me it will work for ts4 too. Even though you're right that there are no errors. The rallies can still benefit from it I'm sure of it.

I don't think so...the rallies will benefit from what exactly??
I think if you really want a 'SIM' tour the easiest and most logical thing is to just USE THE PRO PLAYERS...who cares if they don't all have the same number of points, there are 'tiers' of characters in every 1-on-1 type game, that's PART OF THE FUN. You guys are trying to make it all complicated and totally intrusive/game-changing; 'Oh let's use only silver coaches', 'Let's ban skills', 'Let's play with some characters that Anil and Al designed for everybody else to use' ( :P ), blahblahblah...just use the frickin pros

If it ain't broke don't fix it...I don't really see what's wrong with TS4 so far I guess
